It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited, to:\nLoss (Breakdown, Waste, Speed) Investigation and Resolution \nAttend Tier 1 and Production Analysis Board (PAB) meetings providing line team with status of line and agree on resource deployment and timings to close losses. \nResolve repeat loss issues using systematic problem-solving techniques to determine root cause. \nSupport Shift Technicians in Investigation of losses (Breakdowns, Waste, Speed) to ensure countermeasure is effective. \nCoach and mentor Technicians and Operators in quality and effectiveness of problem-solving tools and robustness of countermeasures \nSupport all CI projects/validations as required to help improve equipment reliability. \nDevelopment of Maintenance standards \nEngage with Operators and Technicians to effectively use Daily Task Maintenance and Planned and Preventative Maintenance to increase OEE and safety performance. \nProvide details to improve Maintenance Standards and execution (Frequency, Breakdowns and Repairs) to Reliability Leader based on problem solving outcomes and DTM/PPM activity. Coaching on continuous improvement methodologies & tools \nImplementation of basic maintenance process and settings for the designated product line(s). \nEngage in planning process for Maintenance activities. \nLead Maintenance activity for respective line in conjunction with Preventative Maintenance Leader. \nMaintain critical equipment settings, standards and close loop on changes made. \nBuilding maintenance skills for Technicians and Operators. \nProvide training and coaching to Operators and Technicians on DTM/ PPM Maintenance activities and standards. \nExecution of maintenance activities in the line (planned/ unplanned when available). \nEnsure all preventative maintenance activities are performed effectively, including opportunistic maintenance working with Preventative Maintenance Leader to plan same. \nRecord maintenance details in full on the designated forms/ SAP. \nReport and action any abnormalities observed during Daily Task Maintenance / Planned Preventative Maintenance to reduce losses. \nRecord spares used during maintenance / unplanned breakdowns in line Maintenance requirements. \nOther duties as required to support the needs of the business. \nResponsible for equipment breakdown response and escalation process in an expedient manner. \nEducation and Experience:\nThis position has the following minimum educational requirements:\nHigh School Diploma/GED: Required \nAssociates Degree: Preferred - Mechatronics, EMT or other technical degree. \nBA/BS Degree Preferred - Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred. \nIn lieu of Associates degree, 5 years technical or manufacturing experience required. \nManufacturing Experience:\n3 years’ experience with high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment required. \nSome PLC experience preferred but not essential. \n2 years medical device manufacturing experience preferred \nBasic Knowledge and Skills:\nMinimum Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities (KSA’s):\nEffective Oral/written Communication - Proficient \nAbility to work as part of a team / Teambuilding - Proficient \nIndependent thinking / Self Driven - Proficient \nDecision Making Ability - Proficient \nMachine Design - Basic \nTroubleshooting / Problem Solving - Advanced \nSafety & Ergonomics Expertise - Basic \nProject Management - Basic \nQuality Systems Knowledge - Proficient \nComputer Skills / Microsoft Office - Proficient \nFinancial Acumen - Basic \nAt BD, we reward, support and develop our associates through our comprehensive Total Rewards program.
