It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nJG2\nPCP Level: 4\nShift: B Shift\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nThe Mold Technician operates and monitors the performance of a group of injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment and assembly/packaging machines in accordance with the standard operating procedures and production and quality standards. Monitors and records machine processes, visually inspects product, prepares product for release, and maintains and controls all quality equipment. Ensures adherence to BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and standard methodologies, as well as all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nSetup and troubleshooting of injection molding processes using systematic methodologies and standard operating procedures.\nPerform preventative maintenance on equipment.\nWork with Mold Repair to maintain production efficiencies.\nPerform changeovers and work with Inspectors for first piece approvals.\nDocument all press activity as required.\nPerform general housekeeping around the press and maintain safe work environment.\nOther duties as required to support the needs of the business.\nDELIVERABLES:\nEnsure quality molding output by setting up, troubleshooting and maintaining molding equipment.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:\nMinimum Education:\nHigh School Diploma/GED required \nAssociate's degree preferred \nMinimum Experience:\n3-5 years technical manufacturing experience required.\nMolding experience/scientific molding techniques preferred.\nDemonstrated competence in mechanical tasks.\nMinimum Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities (KSA’s):\nComputer skills: Basic or Simple\nCommunication skills: Basic or Simple\nMechanical competence: Proficient/Working\nMicrosoft office: Proficient/Working\nAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
