Your primary role will be to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the equipment to meet production targets and maintain product quality. Participates in all team meetings, activities, team building initiatives, and operational excellence activities.\n**Schedule: Afternoon shift (2nd shift) 2:45 PM-1:00 AM Monday-Thursday**\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nCertify to operate multiple processes or grouping of equipment on high speed automated or semiautomated manufacturing equipment.\n\nParticipate in all equipment changeovers or set-ups.\n\nMonitor assigned processes to ensure high quality production.\n\nRespond to machine faults and restore to normal operation\n\nParticipate in autonomous maintenance to maintain assigned equipment/area\n\nRegular and predictable attendance and punctuality is required per the BD attendance policy\n\nMaintain equipment and a clean area by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down equipment.\n\nMaintains an open line of communication to ensure all problems/changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner\n\nMaintains accurate records as required following good documentation practices (GDP)\n\nParticipate in root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues as needed\n\nParticipate in tier 1 shifts' start-up meetings, 5S, and Kaizen events\n\nFollow all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous waste regulations\n\nFollow all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.\n\nSupport and maintain a safe working environment including the submission of employee safety observations (ESO)\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nAbility to get along with people and work in a team environment\n\nWillingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed\n\nAbility to train other associates as needed\n\nAbility to identify production issues and clearly communication to support functions\n\nWilling to work overtime as needed\n\nRequired: High School Diploma or relevant equivalent experience, or 1-year relevant work experience.\nProfessional Skills:\nEH&S and Safety\n\nBasic Computer Knowledge\n\nManufacturing Process\n\nEffective Oral and Written Communication\n\nBasic Mathematical Skills\n\nQuality Systems and Knowledge\n\nGood Manufacturing Practices (GMP)\n\nUnderstand and follow the process for managing critical issues\n\nTime Management\n\nAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
