It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nPerforms any combination of tasks involved in the manufacture and assembly of medical devices as well as setting up, operating, performing maintenance on, and troubleshooting equipment. \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION\nResponsible for following safety policies and procedures, also all required GMP’s and applicable manufacturing procedures. \nBuilds product per production schedules using hand tools and small power tools to assemble units. \nTests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. \nSupports R&D builds. \nMaintains organization of production area. \nEnsures that a safe work environment is maintained. \nSupports requirements necessary to establish and maintain FDA, ISO and CMDR compliance. \nPerforms a variety of inspections, tests, and operations as required, to ensure the quality of manufactured product while adhering to company procedures. \nPerforms special projects and other duties as assigned. \nQUALIFICATION GUIDELINES\nHigh school diploma or equivalent. \nLevel I: Six (6) months to three (3) years' experience in a related field. \nLevel II: Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a related field. \nLevel III: Five (5) or more years' experience in a related field. \nFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. \nEffective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand. \nAbility to read, write, interpret, and comprehend specifications written in English and perform basic math calculations. \nAbility to use basic tools of measurement, such as microscopes. \nMust be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis. \nHas good attention to detail \nAbility to have a good relationship with people and be able to work in a team environment. \nWillingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities. \nWork Environment / Demands:\nTravel - No travel is expected with this position. \nPhysical Demand - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally the employee may be required to lift or move at least 50 pounds.
