Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.\nDuties/Responsibilities (may not be applicable based on department assignment):\nProvide guidance and input to manufacturing and management for quality issues.\nAide in the training of associates to ensure that they are meeting the quality systems and product requirements.\nSupport C2C compliance activities for the department and self.\nSupport product complaint investigations and corrective actions.\nContribute with continuous improvement activities (i.e., Kaizens, blitz, validations etc.).\nTrend quality metrics and investigate specific problem areas to provide corrective action.\nApply and interpret ANSI Z1.4 and other sampling plans for predicting percent defective and lot acceptance criteria.\nConduct line audits to assure compliance to the quality system.\nDevelop/assist in creating visual instructions.\nConduct proper filing of documentation and react to urgent matters responsibly.\nMust be familiar with specifications and documentation associated with operations of this position.\nComply with plant CGMP and department protective clothing, safety, and management policies.\nMust be familiar with the quality policy and procedures.\nMust be able to prepare and control Master Defects for the production lines.\nMust exhibit and portray the BD Values.\nAssist in validation processes and conduct machine and process capability studies on equipment.\nAssist and support team and departmental plant needs and goals.\nCommunicate daily with prior and post shift Quality Control Representatives.\nAdjustable / flexible work schedule as needed by manufacturing operation requirements\nSupport internal/ external audits.\nCreate/update Quality Notifications in SAP.\nCreate Certificates in SAP.\nRelease products for sale in SAP.\nCreate Global Holds in SAP.\nPerform first piece inspection of molded parts with the smartscope, optical comparator.\nOther duties as required to support the needs of the business.\nEducation:\nHigh School diploma/GED required\nAssociates degree preferred\nExperience:\nNone required\nPrevious experience with product and process specifications preferred\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to learn methods of various inspection tests, gauges, etc. - Proficient\nComputer skills including excel, word and power point - Proficient\nStrong team player exhibiting flexibility and leadership, ability to work independently - Proficient\nAbility to communicate clearly with all levels of personnel, including customers and auditors - Proficient\nGood working knowledge of product and manufacturing processes with ability to interpret drawings and specifications preferred\nKnowledgeable in the fundamentals of quality processes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred\nFamiliar with process control tools, methods, and inspection equipment/tools (i.e., Comparator, Smart-Scope, Instron, etc.) preferred\nFundamentals of Quality System Regulations (QSR) and International Standards of Operation (ISO) regulations preferred\nSix Sigma knowledge preferred\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
