It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nThe essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:\nActs as a resource to work groups and project teams, within the plant and outside the plant relative to quality and regulatory issues.\n\nLeads or participates on Kaizen teams to improve quality and reduce waste.\n\nInvestigates and provides engineering solutions to quality related manufacturing issues.\n\nMaintains familiarity with manufacturing processes and products to evaluate the cause and effect of defects and identify trends in process and product quality.\n\nProvides technical input for projects using the application of FMEA’s, risk mitigation, plant validations; DOE’s’ and other experiments and investigations as assigned.\n\nLead projects using the application of continuous improvement tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, etc.\n\nWorks with all departments to maintain the highest quality standards.\n\nFormulates, reviews and implements policies and procedures relating to product quality and process control as appropriate.\n\nEnsures that all activities comply with government (OSHA, EPA, FDA, ISO, etc.) regulations and corresponding company policies/procedures including activities and programs as defined in the Quality Systems Manual for BD Broken Bow.\n\nCoordinates machine and process capability studies, analyzes the data and submits recommendations.\n\nDesigns and assists Production, Engineering and Division in the completion of new product/process evaluations including Hazard Analysis.\n\nCoordinates communication between Division R&D and Plant personnel on new products, product improvements and product issues.\n\nParticipates in Engineering and Production functions as required to achieve the overall objectives of the Plant.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned, such as Internal Audits, PIR/CFI investigations. Supports plant safety initiatives\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nBA/BS Degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\nMedical device manufacturing experience preferred.\n\nPreferred 1-2 years of relevant experience; however, internships, co-op experience, and relevant engineering projects will also be considered.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.\n\nFlexible and adaptable, with the ability to support a variety of day-to-day responsibilities.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
