Identifies opportunities for efficiency and right-first-time improvement through engagement with quality inspectors, production operators and collaborating with quality engineers on defect investigations. Facilitates the daily activities related to the sorting / rework activities within the site by directing resources for containment or rework support, developing rework instructions and test plans to evaluate workforce competency for complex tasks. Provides leadership and motivation to associates to achieve desired quality and quantity, through safe and proper utilization of materials and equipment.\nResponsibilities:\nRecommends, initiates, or facilitates measures from Associates to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, changes in working condition and use of equipment so as to increase efficiency, improve quality and reduce waste.\nInstruct and facilitate training of associates in the performance of their job in a safe and efficient manner, following procedures as required.\nMay assist in audits, CAPA and Kaizen projects as needed.\nComplete time studies as needed to determine the rate at which the product is sorted / reworked.\nSupport quality metrics by updating and maintaining dashboards for defects (QNs) and Rework status.\nConduct experiments and collect data for use in the analysis of process capability, cost, waste, etc.\nPerform measurements using precision measurement equipment.\nUtilize and understand component drawings and specifications in conjunction with product and process capability studies.\nAssist in the validation of equipment, material, processes, products, etc.\nCollect data and prepare written reports as needed.\nMinimum Requirement:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nWork Environment:\nBD is a smoke-free campus.
