It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nJob Summary\nBD Surgery is seeking a motivated R&D Intern to contribute to innovative medical device development and research projects, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare technology environment.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAssist R&D engineers and scientists with experimental design, execution, and data analysis related to material conversions to powder form factor and stability testing.\nSupport the development and testing of new medical device prototypes and components.\nConduct literature reviews and research on relevant scientific and technical topics.\nPerform laboratory tasks, including material preparation, imaging, sample testing, and equipment calibration.\nDocument experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately and thoroughly.\nContribute to problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts in ongoing projects.\nParticipate in team meetings and present findings as required.\nAdhere to quality system procedures and safety regulations.\nJob Qualifications\n Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific/engineering field.\nStrong academic record.\nBasic understanding of scientific principles and engineering fundamentals.\nFamiliarity with laboratory equipment and techniques is a plus.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nPrior experience with Instron testing, Microscopy, and particle analysis is a plus.\nAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
