Leveraging advanced sourcing methodologies, supplier assessment frameworks, and robust project management capabilities, the Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role during the whole sourcing process of the Next Gen Program to ensure timely execution of required initiatives.\nWorking across Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain functions, this role will establish governance structures, identify risks, and accelerate strategies that support growth and operational excellence.\nAbout the Role\nReporting to the Associate Director Pharmacy Automation and being part of BD's global Integrated Supply Chain Organization, the Procurement Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the organization's future supply base for the Next Gen Program.\nThis role focuses on identifying and deploying suppliers with enhanced capabilities, developing supplier ecosystems and leading strategic sourcing initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience while delivering sustainable cost advantages.\nThe Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with global procurement teams and cross-functional stakeholders to assess supply markets, identify emerging suppliers, evaluate manufacturing capabilities, and lead supplier E2E sourcing projects from business case development through implementation and industrialization.\nKey Responsibilities\nDemonstrate BD Leadership Standards and Values\nDrive market screening and supplier scouting for mechanical and electromechanical categories\nConduct comprehensive supplier capability assessments covering manufacturing excellence, quality systems, financial health, capacity, technology, sustainability, and risk.\nLead strategic initiatives and take ownership to drive supplier projects in the most efficient & effective way\nSource and deploy preferred supply base to product standards and requirements\nExecute supplier footprint optimization strategies.\nDrive supplier transitions from incumbent suppliers to higher-performing and more competitive alternatives.\nBuild and maintain a robust supplier pipeline to support future business growth and sourcing flexibility.\nAbout You\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or related field.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Development, Supply Chain, or Project Management.\nProven success in supplier scouting, supplier qualification, and supply base optimization initiatives.\nComprehensive knowledge in assessing and onboarding new supplier partners\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier cost structures, and industrial supply chains.\nDemonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional projects across international organizations.\nStrong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.\nExcellent communication and executive presentation skills.\nAbility to travel internationally as required.\nPersonal Attributes\nGrowth mindset\nPassion for driving change and challenging the status quo.\nStrong entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on identifying new sourcing opportunities.\nHighly analytical with excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.\nResilient and capable of leading change in a complex stakeholder environment.\nStrong influencing skills and ability to build alignment across multiple functions and cultures.\nCollaborative team player with the ability to work independently and drive results.\nComfortable operating in ambiguous environments and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.\nResults-oriented, proactive, and capable of converting sourcing opportunities into measurable business value.\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
