It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nShift: Mon-Fri, 6:00am - 2:30pm\nEssential Functions:\nCoordinate the handling and processing of outbound loads.\nOrganizes the manpower in the shipping operation to complete outbound loads.\nResponsible for managing the clerical requirements of the area.\nEnsures daily goals and metrics are met. Ensures the supplies needed are stocked and available.\nResponsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP. \nResponsible for training associates where required.\nRegular and reliable attendance at work.\nMust take safety first and be able to work diligently to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure outbound loads are processed in FiFO order.\nEnsure material has been keyed in the appropriate ERP system.\nUpdate Shipping Logs as necessary.\nCommunicates with other Leads and Supervisor any issues that need to be resolved.\nEducational Qualifications & Previous Experience\nMinimum high school diploma or GED equivalent, with preferably some technical or college education.\nTwo to 4 years of experience in the operation of material handling equipment and inventory management is desirable.\nProfessional Skills & Key Competencies\nAble to operate material handling equipment.\nAble to prioritize tasks and workflow. Planning will take into account assets (time, equipment, and product) available.\nKnowledge of personal computers.\nStrong leadership and motivational skills required.\nDesired / Additional Skills & Knowledge (Not essential to the job but will be an advantage to possess):\nMust have good oral and written communication skills, to read and comprehend simple instructions in Basic English and write short correspondence / memos.\nMust be able to perform basic mathematical computations and apply to various operational tasks.\nMust be a self-starter. Position requires good logic, reasoning ability, ability to define problems and find logical solutions. Able to apply policies and procedures to work situations and use judgment in selecting appropriate actions. Significant deviations from established policies and procedures will be referred to management and / or Team Leader.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Employee is required to meet with other personnel in other areas of building. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employee must not have any facial hair that interferes with a protective MSA mask.
