The Technical Leader must participate in the entire development cycle, beginning with discovery, planning, and estimation; followed by analysis, support, and assistance with solution implementation in accordance with requirements within a context of continuous integration and deployment. The role requires working seamlessly in a constantly evolving, collaborative environment.\nThe person joining the team will be part of a group responsible for supporting and improving several applications. These applications cover various key BDC processes across its different business sectors (Security, lending processes, CRM, etc.).\nThe work takes place in a complex environment, as our applications interact with the Bank’s core processes. A solid grasp of software development and systems analysis is essential to effectively guide the development team. Additionally, knowledge of the banking industry would be a significant asset for understanding the processes and business rules integrated into our applications.\nProficiency in Agile development methodologies is essential for successfully integrating into our ecosystem. The Technical Leader must also collaborate with other teams in the domain, as well as with analysts, the product manager, and the solutions architect within their team.\nCHALLENGES TO BE MET\nParticipate in all phases of the secure software development life cycle (SSDLC);\nDesign and implement technical solutions that comply with client requirements and software development standards;\nProduce and maintain architecture and design documentation throughout development and after software release;\nActively participate in agile ceremonies and team meetings;\nAdapt to evolving technology and the implementation of new methods to achieve the organization’s objectives and follow best practices for the financial sector and the IT industry;\nBe responsible for the quality, stability, and operability of applications;\nPlan regular maintenance for applications and ensure that process-related documentation is up to date.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience;\nAt least 10 years of experience as a .NET developer and/or technical lead;\nExperience in the banking sector is a plus.\nAdvanced proficiency in developing and maintaining solutions with .NET Core;\nProficiency in design principles and patterns, as well as system design;\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills;\nProficiency in designing, documenting, developing, securing, and consuming REST APIs. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps;\nHands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.);\nExperience with modern authentication and authorization mechanisms (OpenID Connect & OAuth);\nExperience developing robust automated tests (unit tests, service tests);\nExperience with the CI/CD pipeline;\nHands-on experience working in Agile delivery teams;\nExperience in developing secure solutions;\nProficiency in development using various resources in the Azure cloud environment, as well as cloud design patterns;\nExcellent proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server and MySQL;\nExcellent understanding of event-driven architecture and knowledge of event streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka and ActiveMQ;\nUnderstanding of containerization and cloud services (Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu);\nUnderstanding of software engineering approaches such as TDD, pair programming, CI/CD, and DevOps;\nBilingualism (spoken and written) is required; excellent verbal and written communication skills.\nTechnical leadership;\nTechnical mentoring and coaching;\nAbility to define and maintain a technical vision;\nAbility to make technical decisions;\nStrong problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, autonomy, and learning skills.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge of front-end development with SwiftUI and UIKit is a plus;\nHands-on experience building microservices or distributed systems is a plus;\nExperience building scalable, highly available applications is a plus.\nProudly one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible environment where all employees can thrive and feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work.
