From creating solutions for our clients to building careers for our people, we shape what matters, and that’s where you come in.\nAbout the Role\nWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager to join our Brisbane team, with a particular focus on supporting the continued growth of our PCAOB and US-listed client capability.\nThis role is suited to a Manager who has experience working on audits performed underPCAOB auditing standards and is looking to further develop that expertise while continuing to work across a broad portfolio of private, public and international clients. PCAOB exposure is a key requirement for this position.\nBDO's Audit practice is a major player within the local marketplace, auditing many of Australia's leading public and private sector organisations across a diverse industry base.\nOur thriving audit practice works with and provides services to some of the most exciting, established and emerging companies. You will have the opportunity to work in a high performing team on a diverse client base with exposure to challenging work across a cross section of industries, including participation in engagements performed in accordance with PCAOB auditing standards.\nKey responsibilities include:\nManage, lead, and develop the Audit team to ensure successful completion and execution of assigned engagements across a range of complexity and scale\nService line management, including contribution to overall service line strategy and providing feedback and development to junior members of the team\nIdentify audit and engagement risks and contribute to the design of an appropriate audit approach for each assignment\nReview working papers, audit queries, correspondence and reports prepared by the team to ensure compliance with audit plan, procedures, and appropriate quality of work\nLead and participate in technical audit and accounting matters\nLiaise with clients and identify future opportunities\nAbout You\nDemonstrated external audit experience in a professional services firm\nExperience and passion in leading and developing teams\nCA/CPA qualification\nThorough understanding of all financial statement areas\nAbility to identify potential risks of material misstatement and design audit tests to mitigate those risks\nExperience in reviewing General Purpose accounts, including listed entities\nDemonstrated experience working on audits performed under PCAOB auditing standards\nExperience working with US-listed entities, issuer engagements, or multinational groups subject to PCAOB requirements\nAbility to identify scope and solve problems\nExceptional attention to detail\nFull and unrestricted working rights within Australia\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career.
