The role will support the delivery of digital strategy, technology advisory, technology-enabled transformation and delivery confidence engagements across government, private and not-for-profit sectors.\nBDO's Digital Advisory team is part of our wider consulting practice and works closely with specialists across Cyber Security, Data & AI, Strategy & Transformation and People Advisory to deliver integrated solutions for our clients.\nOur Digital Advisory team provides tailored advisory services across:\nDigital and ICT strategy.\nICT business cases and investment planning.\nTechnology operating model assessments.\nStrategic ICT procurement and vendor evaluation.\nICT current state assessments, process analysis, requirements definition and future state design.\nTechnology implementation and transformation advisory.\nICT program and project management.\nDelivery confidence reviews, health checks and governance assessments of programs and projects.\nCIO, CDO and CTO advisory.\nThis role is suited to an experienced technology management consultant with a background in advisory-led client engagements. You will have experience helping organisations define strategy, assess options, solve complex business problems and support technology-enabled transformation, rather than solely delivering vendor-specific products or solutions. You will bring strong client engagement, analytical and consulting delivery skills, supported by a practical understanding of ICT operation and delivery lifecycle of technology change.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nDeliver digital strategy, technology modernisation, business case, procurement, transformation, Program/Project and PMO and delivery confidence engagements to support client objectives.\nManage engagement workstreams, including planning, stakeholder engagement, analysis, reporting and presentation of outcomes.\nBuild trusted client relationships and contribute to the successful delivery of engagements within scope, budget and timeframe.\nPrepare executive-level reports, presentations and briefings that communicate findings, risks and recommendations clearly.\nSupport business development activities, including proposals, scoping, estimating and client presentations.\nMentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.\nStay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies and leading practices, contributing to the growth of Digital Advisory.\nAbout you\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in technology consulting, advisory, project management, PMO or related technology delivery roles, ideally within a client-facing or professional services environment.\nDemonstrated experience delivering or supporting ICT projects, programs or technology-enabled change initiatives, with an understanding of the requirements and practical challenges associated with technology delivery.\nStrong understanding of project and program delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and software delivery lifecycle concepts.\nExperience assessing technology, delivery or operational risks and developing practical recommendations to improve outcomes.\nAbility to contribute to the development of digital and ICT strategies, business cases, operating models and technology-enabled transformation initiatives.\nFamiliarity with recognised delivery, governance or assurance frameworks such as PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, MoP, P3M3, Gateway Reviews will be highly regarded.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret evidence, identify issues and develop clear recommendations.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive report writing and the ability to facilitate workshops and present to client and senior stakeholder groups.\nExperience working in collaborative teams, delegating to and mentoring junior team members and providing support and assistance to senior team members.\nAbility to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues while working effectively across multidisciplinary teams.\nRelevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.\nWhy BDO?\nWorking for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.\nOur national and global footprint provides our people with opportunities to work on interesting client engagements, across diverse industry sectors and services.\nOur open and collaborative culture ensures access to Partners and professional mentors, to guide and accelerate your professional career, across a wide array of career pathways.\nWe provide our people with various health and wellbeing, social, financial, and professional development benefits to help realise what’s possible.\nParticipate in fitness challenges or take advantage of exclusive discounts to corporate health insurance, gym memberships and wellness facilities via our BWell program.
