About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Consultant to join our CFO Advisory team in Brisbane.

Working with clients across the public and private sectors, you’ll support a diverse range of engagements spanning financial management, finance function transformation, accounting and financial reporting.

You’ll work closely with senior client stakeholders to understand complex challenges and deliver practical solutions that strengthen financial governance, reporting, systems, processes and controls.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting finance function reviews and transformation initiatives
  • Assisting with finance system change and financial governance improvements
  • Delivering financial reporting engagements, including financial statements, sustainability reporting and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Providing hands-on project delivery and support during finance transformation programs
  • Helping clients navigate Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS requirements and audit-readiness
  • Building trusted client relationships and contributing to high-quality outcomes across a range of industries.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your advisory experience while helping organisations improve their financial management practices and navigate important periods of growth and transformation.

About you

You’re a commercially minded accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, working with stakeholders and helping finance teams improve how they operate.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • A strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience working with finance teams and an understanding of finance functions
  • Exposure to finance systems, processes and controls
  • Experience in audit, CFO advisory or a related financial management environment
  • A CA, CPA or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities
  • A proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach
  • A growth mindset and genuine interest in evolving accounting and reporting frameworks

If you’re looking to move beyond traditional accounting or audit work and develop broader experience across finance transformation and advisory, this role offers an excellent next step.
