From creating solutions for our clients to building careers for our people, we shape what matters, and that’s where you come in.\nAbout the Role\nOur Project & Infrastructure Advisory team works with government and private sector clients to support better decision-making across major infrastructure and development projects throughout Queensland and Northern Australia.\nAs a Senior Consultant, you’ll work across a diverse range of infrastructure advisory engagements, developing your financial, commercial and strategic advisory capability while gaining direct exposure to clients and senior team members.\nYou will:\nBuild, test and maintain financial models to support business cases, feasibility assessments, investment decisions, pricing and cost recovery.\nUndertake financial, commercial and strategic analysis across infrastructure and development projects.\nSupport the development of business cases, economic assessments and client advisory reports.\nAnalyse project costs, revenues, benefits, risks and delivery options, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.\nTranslate complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations for clients.\nTake ownership of defined project workstreams and manage deliverables and deadlines.\nPrepare high-quality reports, presentations and client materials.\nUse AI, automation and analytics tools to enhance research, modelling and advisory deliverables.\nContribute to proposals, tenders and broader business development initiatives.\nCollaborate with specialists across infrastructure, economics, strategy and commercial advisory.\nAbout You\nYou’re an analytical and commercially minded professional who enjoys solving complex problems and turning financial and project information into practical insights.\nYou’ll ideally bring:\nA tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.\n3+ years’ experience in infrastructure advisory, management consulting, commercial advisory, corporate finance or a similar environment.\nStrong financial modelling skills, including the ability to build, test and interpret models and clearly document assumptions.\nExperience contributing to business cases, feasibility studies, option assessments or commercial/investment analysis.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful recommendations.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders.\nThe ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a collaborative consulting environment.\nA curious and proactive mindset, including an interest in using AI, automation and analytics to improve how advisory work is delivered.\nThis opportunity would suit someone looking to broaden their infrastructure advisory experience, take greater ownership of project work and develop their commercial and client-facing capability within a growing team.\nWhy BDO?\nWorking for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.\nOur national and global footprint provides our people with opportunities to work on interesting client engagements, across diverse industry sectors and services.\nOur open and collaborative culture ensures access to Partners and professional mentors, to guide and accelerate your professional career, across a wide array of career pathways.\nWe provide our people with various health and wellbeing, social, financial, and professional development benefits to help realise what’s possible.\nParticipate in fitness challenges or take advantage of exclusive discounts to corporate health insurance, gym memberships and wellness facilities via our BWell program.
