From creating solutions for our clients to building careers for our people, we shape what matters, and that’s where you come in.\nAbout the Role\nThe Tax Technology Coordinator supports the National Tax Technology team in delivering the Tax Technology roadmap and related technology initiatives across the Tax practice.\nThe role provides coordination and project management support across technology initiatives, helping to drive adoption, stakeholder engagement, governance, communications and continuous improvement activities. Working with internal stakeholders and external vendors, the role contributes to the successful implementation, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of Tax Technology solutions.\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\nProcess Improvement and Automation\nIdentify and address process gaps, duplication and opportunities for standardisation, AI, and automation through stakeholder workshops.\nDevelop and maintain process documentation, workflows and guidance materials.\nSupport the testing, implementation and adoption of new digital tools.\nTax Technology Operations Support\nDevelop and maintain project plans and schedules for assigned Tax Technology initiatives, working with initiative leads to confirm deliverables, timelines and dependencies.\nundefined\nTrack activities, milestones and risks, providing reporting and leadership updates.\nSupport national technology rollouts, pilot programs and adoption initiatives.\nMaintain operational frameworks, governance documentation, and administration processes across Tax technology platforms.\nSupport platform configuration, user access governance, and administrator communications.\nStakeholder Coordination and Communication\nPractice Communications\nMaintain Tax Technology knowledge repositories, resources, and communication channels, ensuring information remains current and accessible.\nPrepare and distribute communications relating to technology updates, releases, operational changes, and adoption initiatives across the Tax practice.\nInternal User Groups\nGather stakeholder feedback and communicate improvement opportunities to the Tax Technology team.\nMaintain issues, enhancement, and feedback registers; supporting the tracking and escalation of actions where required.\nCoordinate champion, super-user and working group activities, including meetings, communications, training sessions, action tracking and the dissemination of new processes and guidance.\nExternal Vendor Management\nLiaison between Tax professionals and technology vendors, communicating user needs, feedback, and enhancement requests.\nCoordinate vendor communications relating to issues, releases, and platform improvements.\nKey Capabilities & Skills\nStrong systems thinking and an understanding of how people, processes, information and technology interact.\nAbility to analyse and clearly document business processes.\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.\nClear written and verbal communication.\nExperience & Qualifications\nEssential\nStrong digital literacy and an ability to learn new systems quickly.\nDemonstrated experience coordinating activities involving multiple stakeholders.\nExperience producing high-quality business and process documentation.\nExperience supporting project delivery, including maintaining project plans, tracking milestones and actions, and preparing progress updates.\nDesirable\nExperience using LucidChart, Mural, Microsoft Visio or similar process-mapping tools.\nExperience supporting technology implementation, automation or change initiatives.\nFamiliarity with tax or other compliance-based professional-services delivery.\nExposure to Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot or similar AI and automation tools.\nPersonal Attributes\nA successful candidate will:\nBe curious about how processes work and how they can be improved.\nEnjoy bringing structure and clarity to complex activities.\nTake ownership, organised, and reliably follow matters through to completion.\nBe comfortable asking questions and constructively challenging inefficient processes.\nCommunicate complex information clearly and practically.\nHave a genuine interest in AI, automation and technology-enabled service delivery.\nWhy BDO?\nWorking for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.\nOur national and global footprint provides our people with opportunities to work on interesting client engagements, across diverse industry sectors and services.\nOur open and collaborative culture ensures access to Partners and professional mentors, to guide and accelerate your professional career, across a wide array of career pathways.\nWe provide our people with various health and wellbeing, social, financial, and professional development benefits to help realise what’s possible.\nParticipate in fitness challenges or take advantage of exclusive discounts to corporate health insurance, gym memberships and wellness facilities via our BWell program.
