This is a new role and the individual will own the following responsibilities:\n\nAs a solution leader, own the architecture of enterprise-level business solutions and lead other team members in the area of design, implementation, and quality assurance.\n\nAt the opportunity stage, work with prospects to understand business requirements, advising BDO’s leadership and business development teams on the best solution\n\nPrepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of the proposed solution \n\nAt the delivery stage, work with implementation teams to ensure that the overall solution architecture is sound and the proposed design will meet the requirements and expectations set during the selection process\n\nDrive project initiatives by collaborating with the rest of the delivery team to ensure that solution development milestones and deadlines are met\n\nHelp set the solution direction for the practice and help to mentor the more senior consultants\n\nSolution documentation and knowledge transfer internally and externally\n\nSupport client testing and QA activities\n\nConduct design and peer reviews including individual & team unit testing\n\nWork with the project team to review problems, define and test solutions\n\nExercise leadership through superior solution and domain knowledge\n\nParticipation in the preparation of solution design documentation and create implementation instructions to support application deployments\n\nEvaluate and introduce new tools and techniques to the development team\n\nStay up to date on both current and future development technologies\n\nHow do we define success for your role? \n\nYou demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspect of your work: Integrity, Respect and Collaboration\n\nYou understand your client’s industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high-quality work\n\nYou identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clients\n\nYou share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains & attracts talent\n\nYou actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace\n\nYou grow your expertise through learning and professional development.\n\nYour experience and education\n\nMinimum 7 years D365FO Functional Consulting/Solution Architecture experience\n\nBroad knowledge of D365FO functional capabilities across multiple modules\n\nMinimum of 6 full project lifecycles, from initial sales engagement through to go live, at 3 of which with a budget of over $1M\n\nExperience working in one or more target industries - Manufacturing & Distribution, Energy & Natural Resources, Retail, Financial Services and/or Not for Profit organizations\n\nPost-secondary education in a relevant business discipline (B.Com., CPA, etc.) preferred\n\nTask Management and Project Coordination Skills\n\nCoaching and/or mentoring experience\n\nExceptional presentation skills for internal/external purposes\n\nAbility to thrive in a virtual, collaborative organization and atmosphere\n\nEffective time management skills and communication skills\n\nAbility to listen and effectively communicate orally and in writing with clients and colleagues at different levels of the organization\n\nAbility to multi-task effectively while delivering quality work with attention to detail\n\nExcellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects involving a variety of resources with defined deadlines/schedules\n\nAble to adapt quickly to changing client requirements\n\nEnjoy working in a self-teaching, learning organization\n\nAbility to build strong relationships with clients and team members\n\nWhy BDO?\n\nOur people-first approach to talent has earned us a spot among Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2026.
