With a focus on operational excellence, business growth, and employee engagement, this position plays a critical role in enhancing the practice’s brand visibility, strengthens organizational culture, and ensures alignment across all verticals to support strategic objectives. \nJob Duties:\nPractice Operations & Business Management\nOversees day-to-day operations across the Public Sector practice, ensuring processes, priorities, and resources are aligned with leadership objectives\nOversees pricing and proposal operations, partnering with leadership, contracts, and other stakeholders to support timely and competitive business opportunities\nOversees security operations and requirements, ensuring alignment with applicable contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements\nInterfaces with Legal and Compliance on contracts, regulatory requirements, risk matters, and other issues impacting the practice\nEstablishes and improves operational processes and controls to increase efficiency, accountability, and consistency across the practice\nIdentifies and mitigates operational risk, escalating issues appropriately and partnering with leadership and shared-service teams to drive resolution\nServes as a central operational point of contact for Public Sector leadership, connecting business needs with the appropriate BDO USA corporate and shared-service functions\nStrategic Planning, Communications, & Leadership Support\nAligns operational efforts with business priorities, ensuring seamless execution of key initiatives\nEnsures operational efficiency by managing cross-functional initiatives and process improvements\nDevelops leadership messaging and presentations for key meetings, including All Hands Meetings\nLeads internal and external communication strategies to foster engagement across the practice\nCoordinates cross-functional projects to improve efficiency and collaboration\nMarketing, Events, & Branding\nPartners with BDO USA’s National Marketing, Events Marketing, and Branding teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment\nLeads the planning and execution for major industry events, ensuring smooth logistics, and on-site support for local events\nExecutes marketing for industry events, including branding, promotional materials, and pre/post-event marketing\nLeads the Public Sector Brand Ambassador Team, enhancing visibility and engagement for the Public Sector practice\nDevelops and manage practice-wide social media content, highlighting job openings, events, thought leadership, and industry insights\nManages podcast content strategy and promotion to enhance audience engagement\nRecruiting & Talent Strategy\nCollaborates with BDO USA’s National Recruiting team to execute talent acquisition strategies that attract top candidates\nOversees the Public Sector Talent Brand Strategy, to ensure consistent touchpoints with potential candidates\nLeads the planning and execution of recruiting events, ensuring smooth logistics, pre/post-event marketing, and on-site support:\nTraining & Development\nCollaborates with BDO USA’s National Training team to align learning programs with business objectives and employee growth opportunities\nServes as the Executive Sponsor of the PS Training Team, driving initiatives that enhance professional development and career progression\nOversees the planning and implementation of internal training sessions, ensuring content is relevant, engaging and effectively delivered \nLeads the coordination and execution of training initiatives to support employee development, knowledge sharing, and skill-building across the Public Sector practice\nEvaluates training effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement to meet evolving business and employee needs\nEmployee Engagement & People First Initiatives\nLeads the People First Team, overseeing six sub-teams dedicated to enhancing employee well-being, morale, and professional development while promoting recognition and inclusivity within the practice\nExecutes meaningful service opportunities for the Public Sector practice.
