Summary:\nThe Assurance Experienced Manager, BDOADVANTAGE is responsible for supporting assurance professionals to sustain quality of work while innovating the audit experience through the assessment of business demands to support a technology driven assurance practice.\nJob Duties:\nEffectively prioritizes and manages the scope of projects and product releases (as applicable) to deliver key practice benefits\nEnsures product and project backlog are well defined, organized, and prioritized on a continuous basis\nAligns and influences stakeholders and resources across the organization to drive planning and execution; manages a cross-functional process for prioritizing and planning the roadmap and major deliverable releases\nCollaborates with cross-functional teams such as IT or Learning and Communications, as needed\nIdentifies and manages dependencies among projects to ensure efficient resource utilization and higher end user adoption\nPrepares and participates in release and sprint/project planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other development events\nProvides updates to stakeholders and product management throughout the lifecycle of products and projects\nCoordinates with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are in compliance with regulatory and firm-wide requirements\nMonitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure deliverable performance and identify optimization opportunities\nLeads product development efforts for audit and assurance engagements performed under various standards, which may include US GAAS, PCAOB, SOC, TPA, WebTrust, Employee Benefit Plans, and/or SSARS reviews/compilations\nCoordinates and assists with developing, updating, and organizing various audit and assurance services tools \nParticipates in testing of audit/assurance software projects, including: Pilot, expansion, and deployment of new audit/assurance engagement software \nLibrary maintenance for previous audit/assurance engagement software\n\nDevelops, coordinates, and presents training materials for audit/assurance engagement software updates\nAssists with new audit/assurance engagement software user support\nOther duties as required\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nActs as a Career Advisor to associates, seniors, and managers as assigned\nProvides verbal and written performance reviews to associates, seniors, and managers\nQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: \nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems, required\nMaster’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems, preferred\nExperience:\nSix (6) or more years of relevant work experience, required\nAudit or assurance client service experience, preferred\nAssurance methodology/software experience, preferred\nSupervisory experience, preferred\nExperience collaborating with distributed/remote teams, preferred\nLicense/Certifications:\nCPA, preferred\nCertifications from organizations such as Scrum Alliance and Project Management Institute (PMI) a plus (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner), preferred\nSoftware:\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferred\nExperience with SharePoint, preferred\nExperience with enterprise content management solution, preferred\nOther Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nStrong leadership and management skills\nSuperior written and verbal communications skills\nAdvanced knowledge of software development lifecycle\nKnowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS and SEC/PCAOB standards\nKnowledge of international accounting/auditing and other professional standards (e.g., ISAs, IFRS, HITRUST)\nIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.\nNational Range: $125,000 - $155,000\nMaryland Range: $125,000 -
