and cash-flow, retirement, and life insurance planning.\nA Tax Experienced Manager, Private Client Services is responsible for utilizing their educational background and professional experience as well as their communication, time management, leadership, technical, business development, and people skills to provide tax compliance and consulting services to our high net-worth clients.\nJob Description:\nManages tax and consulting engagements and enhances skills identifying and addressing client needs, tax planning, and consulting opportunities\nWorks directly with clients and their advisors to gather information needed to prepare tax returns\nReviews individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership, and gift tax returns and provides written and verbal feedback to staff and interns\nDirects communication with government agencies for matters of the highest complexity\nIdentifies technical issues, conducts advanced tax research, and develops sound recommendations for PCS leadership\nDevelops and expands their understanding of tax concepts and knowledge through client engagements and current tax developments\nPrioritizes and completes tasks both individually and as part of a team.\nAssists with PCS/firm contribution responsibilities including billing, recruiting, attendance and participation in CPE activities and training\nBuilds new relationships and maintains existing relationships with BDO professionals and external sources\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nSupervises associates and senior associates on all projects\nSchedules and manages workload of associates and senior associates\nReviews work prepared by associates and senior associates and provide review comments\nTrains Associates and Seniors how to use all current software tools\nMay act as a Career Advisor to associates and senior associates\nProvides verbal and written performance feedback to associates and senior associates\nQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree, required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, preferred\nMaster’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation, preferred \nExperience:\nSix (6) or more years prior experience in accounting, finance, or law, required\nExperience working in public accounting, or the private client service area, preferred\nLicense/Certifications:\nCertified Public Accountant credential, Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) credential, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or the equivalent of one of these designations, required\nPossession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to role, preferred\nSoftware:\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat, required \nExperience with tax compliance process software (GoSystems, BNA Tax Planner, GoFileRoom, SurePrep), preferred\nExperience with tax research tools (BNA Portfolio, CCH IntelliConnect, Checkpoint and Lexis Nexis), preferred\nLanguages:\nN/A\nOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nInitiativeOwns their own career and technical development;
