Our service and solution delivery start with understanding each client's end-state and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency's organization to improve and enhance business and technical operations and deployments.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Inventory Specialist for Expendable Assets is responsible for managing accountabilities for all expendable materials, ensuring compliance with VA policies and federal property management regulations.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nManage and control an assigned class of expendable materials, ensuring accountability and compliance with VA policies and federal regulations.\nAct as a subject matter expert on expendable commodity management, providing guidance and support across all services and service lines.\nCoordinate the resolution of logistics problems and serve as the central point of contact for new expendable supply procedures.\nAnalyze data related to demand history, program requirements, and current stock levels to inform inventory management decisions.\nUtilize well-established inventory principles and methodologies to intervene in the supply system based on fluctuations in usage rates, costs, and availability.\nEngage proactively with customers to recommend product changes, substitutions, and additions to enhance supply efficiency and economy.\nParticipate in strategic planning initiatives to support major and minor projects, ensuring that supply needs are met while considering cost and compliance variables.\nConduct regular audits and inspections of inventory, ensuring accuracy and accountability for all expendable materials within the facility.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nExperience in inventory management or supply chain operations.\nStrong analytical and communication skills.\nFamiliarity with VA policies and federal regulations.\nEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug test. This position is also subject to the company’s random drug testing policy.\nIn addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance.
