This position requires US Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.\n(Military Veterans and HUBZone residents are highly encouraged to apply)\nRole Overview\nAs the Material Coordinator, you will perform a range of warehouse and logistics tasks including inventory control, order fulfillment, equipment operation, and driving duties to support deliveries and material transfers. This role requires hands-on inventory management and interaction with various internal and external stakeholders.\nResponsibilities\nPerform a range of warehouse functions including:\nInventory management\nOrder picking and packing\nAssisting with shipping, receiving, and transfers\nSupporting efficient utilization of space and material resources\nTracking inventory in the VA’s Inventory Management System (IMS)\nConducting regular inventories, audits, and cycle counts\nInvestigating inventory discrepancies and reporting findings\nOperating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks\nDrive BDR provided vehicles to transport IT assets or materials between locations\nLoad and unload materials for delivery or transfer\nEnsure vehicle safety inspections and logs are completed prior to and after each trip\nCommunicate effectively with warehouse staff, IT personnel, and VA stakeholders to ensure smooth asset movement and inventory accuracy\nPhysical & Environmental Requirements\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift\nAbility to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)\nAbility to work in a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures\nMust be able to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle\nRequired Minimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations\nValid driver’s license with clean driving record\nBasic math and organizational skills\nStrong attention to detail\nProficient in basic computer skills, including email, file management, and navigating common software applications.\nDesired Skills and Qualifications\nPrior experience supporting government contracts\nValid Forklift Operator Certification recognized in the state\nExperience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar federal agencies\nEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug test. This position is also subject to the company’s random drug testing policy.\nThis position is contingent upon contract award. Employment is not guaranteed and will proceed only if the associated contract is awarded and funded.\nThe hourly compensation range for this position is $28.00-29.50. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.\nIn addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance.
