Together, we're changing the way patients are diagnosed and treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.\nThe Logistics & Demand Planning Director leads the end-to-end forecasting, scenario modeling, and capacity alignment processes across the logistics network supporting Life Sciences and Diagnostics for the Beacon Biosignals business units. This leader ensures that demand signals are accurate, capacity constraints are visible, and supply chain decisions are data-driven, compliant, and optimized for patient availability, cost, and operational efficiency.\nThis role is 100% remote from anywhere in the U.S. Beacon's robust asynchronous work practices ensure a first-class remote work experience, but we also have in-person office hubs available located in Boston, New York and Paris.\nWhat success looks like:\nDemand Planning & Forecast Ownership\nOwn the unconstrained demand plan for Life Sciences projects and Diagnostics products, integrating CRM data , manufacturing forecasts, and cross-functional inputs.\nLead monthly Demand Review and consensus alignment across Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Finance, and key stakeholders.\nMonitor forecast accuracy, bias, volatility, and demand signal quality; drive continuous improvement.\nCapacity Planning & Network Optimization\nLead global capacity modeling across distribution centers, 3PLs, packaging sites, and transportation lanes.\nIdentify constraints and trade-off decisions, and align capacity utilization with revenue expectations and customer commitments.\nPartner with Life Sciences, Diagnostics hardware manufacturing, 1PL, and 3PL logistics teams to ensure capacity readiness for clinical trials and Diagnostics market expansions.\nDevelop long-range capacity strategies to support growth, regulatory changes, and technology enablement.\nSales and Operations Planning (S&OP)\nMature and govern the S&OP process, ensuring clear decision rights, escalation paths, and executive visibility.\nReconcile unconstrained demand with constrained supply to support executive decision-making.\nLead cross-functional forums to align demand, inventory, capacity, and financial targets.\nInventory & Logistics Strategy\nPartner with Supply Planning to set safety stock strategies based on forecast variability and risk.\nOversee inventory positioning, replenishment frequency, and site-to-site transfer strategies for clinical and commercial materials.\nEnsure logistics capacity (transportation, warehousing) aligns with demand and regulatory requirements.\nData, Systems & Analytics Leadership\nDrive planning data discipline: master data integrity, lead times, planning parameters, and system utilization.\nChampion advanced analytics, AI-enabled forecasting, and digital planning tools.\nBuild dashboards and KPIs to monitor forecast reliability, capacity utilization, inventory performance, and service levels.\nCross-Functional & External Partnership\nServe as a strategic partner to Life Sciences, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and Diagnostic teams.\nManage relationships with 3PLs, packaging vendors, and distribution partners to ensure alignment on demand and capacity.\nProvide planning leadership for clinical studies, global launches, and major supply chain initiatives.\nRisk Management & Compliance\nIdentify and mitigate supply-demand gaps, capacity risks, and logistics bottlenecks.\nEnsure compliance with GxP and global regulatory requirements across planning and logistics processes.\nLead scenario planning for temperature excursions, supply disruptions, geopolitical risks, and market volatility.\nWhat you will bring:\nYears of experience: 10-15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device supply chain, with expertise in demand planning, capacity planning, or logistics.\nEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.\nTraits and behaviors: Strategic thinker with the ability to translate data into decisions. Skilled at navigating ambiguity, volatility, and complex cross-functional environments. Strong operational discipline with a continuous improvement mindset.\nRegulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of GxP/GDP, clinical supply chain, and regulated distribution networks.\nS&OP leadership: Demonstrated leadership in S&OP processes.\nSystems: Proficiency with advanced forecasting tools, ERP/APS systems, and analytics platforms.\nInfluence: Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive-level influencing skills.\nThe salary range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000. The base salary range for this role is determined based on past experience, specific skills and qualifications.
