The Company is in a high-growth phase, with an expanding pipeline of projects across key U.S. markets.\nRole Summary\nThe Senior Accountant is a key contributor within the accounting and finance organization, responsible for executing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting the monthly close and financial reporting process, and helping to strengthen the systems, controls, and processes needed to scale the business. This role partners closely with the Senior Accounting Manager, Director of Accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial records, efficient workflows, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and operationally minded, with the ability to manage details while also driving process improvements.\nKey Responsibilities\nAccounting Operations & Close\nPerform day-to-day tasks supporting the timely and accurate monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.\nExecute full-cycle accounting for multiple development projects throughout the various phases of the projects. Accurately track hard and soft costs, capitalized interest, and fee allocations.\nReview and maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with company policy and accounting standards.\nPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and record income statement activity to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of outstanding items.\nDraft wire transfers and ACH payments while monitoring cash positions across multiple projects.\nFinancial Reporting & Analysis\nPrepare internal financial reporting packages, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules.\nAssist in identifying trends, explaining month-over-month and budget-to-actual fluctuations, and preparing management reporting materials.\nSupport the preparation of schedules and documentation required for internal and external stakeholders.\nAudit, Compliance & Controls\nAssist with audit support activities, including preparation of requested schedules, workpapers, and audit support files.\nHelp ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and established procedures.\nAssist in documenting, implementing, and improving accounting policies and processes to support a growing organization.\nEnsure compliance with lender reporting requirements, internal reporting deadlines, and other financial obligations as needed.\nShared Services Oversight\nEnsure accurate, timely, and efficient accounts payable processing for high-volume invoices. Confirm accurate invoice coding to appropriate general ledger accounts and projects.\nPartner with internal stakeholders to improve accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across transaction processing workflows.\nHelp monitor adherence to company policies related to purchasing, expense reporting, and disbursement approvals.\nSystems and Process Improvement\nPartner with the Accounting and Finance leadership on process improvement, automation initiatives, and system optimization efforts across accounting and finance.\nSupport implementation, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of ERP and other finance-related systems.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve reporting accuracy and scalability.\nCoordinate with a growing team of internal and external accounting resources supporting corporate and development accounting activities.\nExperience / Knowledge / Skills\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; equivalent experience considered.\nCPA strongly preferred, or comparable depth of accounting knowledge and experience.\nExperience in real estate development, construction, private equity, or a related industry strongly preferred.\nStrong understanding of general ledger accounting, monthly close, reconciliations, internal controls, GAAP, and financial reporting.\nExperience with ERP systems, process improvement, and accounting operations in a growing or evolving organization. NetSuite experience preferred.\nDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.\nCollaborative working style with a willingness to be hands-on and solve problems proactively.\nLocation: Seattle, WA (hybrid)\nReports to: Senior Manager, Accounting\nTotal Compensation Range: $100,000 - $130,000 (+ Annual Performance Bonus)\nBeale offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.
