Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.\nPosition Overview: \nBeam is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Co-Op to join our team from January through June 2027. The Human Resources Co-op will support key HR initiatives and projects focused on strengthening HR operations, processes, and compliance. This role will provide hands-on experience reviewing HR processes and documentation, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting efforts to strengthen consistency and compliance across HR practices. The co-op will collaborate with HR and cross-functional stakeholders while building practical experience in HR operations, project management, and process improvement.\nResponsibilities: \nReview HR processes and personnel files to assess alignment with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and established HR practices. \nAudit personnel files for completeness, consistency, appropriate document segregation, and adherence to confidentiality and recordkeeping requirements; document findings and recommend corrective actions. \nResearch applicable HR record-retention requirements and develop a documented retention schedule for personnel and other HR records, in partnership with HR and Legal as appropriate. \nReview key HR processes-including onboarding, offboarding, employee communications, and document-management workflows-to confirm that procedures and related controls are current, consistently applied, and adequately documented. \nRecommend improvements to address identified compliance gaps and strengthen the clarity, efficiency, consistency, and scalability of HR processes. \nOrganize approved HR records and process documentation within a consistent, centralized structure that supports appropriate access, confidentiality, and ongoing maintenance.\nExhibit Beam Leadership Behaviors; work collaboratively across functions and locations.\nHandle confidential information and HR documents responsibly while maintaining strong attention to detail.\nSupport on-site culture and team events as needed.\nQualifications\nCurrently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.\nKnowledge of HR compliance practices and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.\nStrong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to understand workflows and translate them into clear, structured documentation.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nComfortable seeking input, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and helping to keep projects on track and meet timelines.\nThis role follows a hybrid work schedule and requires onsite attendance 4-5 days per week.\nApplicants must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university program and maintain their student status throughout the duration of the co-op to be
