You’ll own the end-to-end installation, upgrade, and support of network infrastructure, acting as the face of Bear Technologies for the organizations we serve. This position is located in PLANO, TX.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, install, and optimize wired and wireless LAN/WAN solutions, firewalls, switches, and related network hardware.\nTroubleshoot connectivity issues and third-party applications, delivering permanent fixes-not just Band-Aids.\nDocument network diagrams, configurations, and change history in Bear’s standardized knowledge base.\nCollaborate with clients, internal engineers, and vendor partners to scope, stage, and execute projects.\nCoach junior technicians and cross-train peers on best-practice installation procedures.\nMaintain safety standards on site, including proper use of ladders and lifts, safe cable-management practices, and adherence to client policies.\nStay current on emerging technologies and maintain relevant industry certifications.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired Certifications: CompTIA Network+ (or equivalent networking knowledge).\nExperience: 3+ years installing and supporting network infrastructure (switching, routing, WLAN) in multi-site environments.\nSkills:Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and network security fundamentals.\nProven ability to troubleshoot analytically and methodically under pressure.\nProfessional written and verbal communication-you’ll interact with clients most days, whether by phone or in person.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple projects, and see them through to completion.\n\nOther Requirements:Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.\nAbility to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work on ladders up to 40 ft.\nAbility to travel out of town for projects lasting up to 5 consecutive days.\nWillingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights when projects demand.\n\nNice to Have\nCisco CCNA, CCNP, or Meraki certifications.\nExperience with virtualized network environments (Hyper-V, Proxmox, VMware, etc.).\nExperience operating boom or scissor lifts.\nKnowledge of emerging AI and automation systems.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary.\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance.\nIRA with company match.\nGenerous paid time off (vacation, sick, personal) plus paid holidays.\nCertification reimbursement and paid training days.\nA supportive team that values creative problem-solving and knowledge-sharing.\nBear Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
