Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nProject Management: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and timelines. Drive the successful execution and delivery of complex software projects, balancing technical excellence, business objectives, and resource allocation.\nCollaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions. Foster effective collaboration and communication within the team and with external teams.\nTechnical Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical problems and propose innovative solutions. Provide guidance and support to the team in overcoming technical challenges and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.\nStakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, including senior leaders and executives, to provide project updates, manage expectations, and ensure alignment on technical strategies and priorities.\nTalent Development: Nurture and develop engineering talent through mentorship, coaching, and career development conversations. Drive a culture of quality and ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions.\nPerform other related duties or specialized areas as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nProven experience in a technical leadership or management role, leading and managing software engineering teams.\nExcellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.\nStrong project management skills, with the ability to set priorities, manage resources, and drive the successful execution and delivery of projects.\nRecruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff. \nOversees the daily workflow of the team\nProvides constructive and timely performance evaluations. \nMay assists in handling discipline of employees in accordance with company policy. \nRequired Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:\nSignificant professional experience as a software engineer, with a track record of delivering complex software projects.\nStrong technical expertise in one or more programming languages and technology stacks, such as Rust, C++, Python, or others\nGreat troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure\nExceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and make sound decisions.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nStrong commitment to quality, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.\nIn-depth understanding of software development methodologies, engineering best practices, and architectural patterns.\nStrategic thinking and the ability to align technical initiatives with business goals.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive effective solutions.\nPassion for technology, innovation, and continuous learning.\nPreferred Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:\nExperience in a startup environment\nAutonomous robot software development\nBasic cloud computing technologies (Docker/Podman, Terraform, Security protocols, elastic scale) and embedded computing technologies (Ubuntu/Debian Linux, Systemd, Ostree) \nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
