This position also performs tasks such as taking out trash, sweeping, general cleaning and assisting in food preparation.\n\nResponsibilities:\nClean the cooking areas, utensils, and equipment with cleaning chemicals in the kitchen as necessary\n\nSafely handle food prep equipment such as dish machine, and knives. Wash and sorts trays, utensils, and equipment parts as needed\n\nEmpty trash cans and take out garbage; light stocking\n\nSweep, mop, and keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice (weather depending) and general cleanliness of the restaurant\n\nReceive truck orders, verify correct inventory, and put all items away in an organized manner. Put away delivery orders according to food hierarchy.\n\nPractice safe food handling and cleanliness at all times.\n\nAssist with food prep and adhere to company recipes and production levels.\n\nRequirements\nCandidate must be able to:\nMaintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time while performing with quality and accuracy.\n\nWithstand exposure to possible food allergens including but not limited to; meats, fish, nuts, dairy, and oils\n\nWithstand exposure to and work with cleaning chemicals.\n\nLift up to 80lbs constantly.\n\nLift from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently.\n\nTwist, reach, & bend frequently.\n\nListen to and comprehend instructions from Leads, Managers, and coworkers over background restaurant and equipment noise constantly\n\nFrequently wash hands.\n\nAdhere to schedule and be on time for shifts\n\nAdhere to company uniform and appearance policy\n\nSkills/Qualifications for Ideal Candidate:\nHigh School degree or equivalent preferred and/or 1 year experience in related industry\n\nGood communication skills, friendly and polite demeanor\n\nStrong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant\n\nStrong interpersonal skills; Team player\n\nDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individuals assigned to this position.
