This placement offers a huge range of opportunities depending on your skill set, ambitions and willingness to learn. The role will give you a broad scope of experience across all major design and product development, ensuring full exposure to the creative design process from start to finish.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nAssisting designers with sample management and fabric library. Checking in samples from suppliers, organising samples, fabrics and trim approvals into the sample archive and ensuring all samples are accounted for. \nSupporting the garment tech department in prepping for fit sessions. Organising samples, steaming samples and measuring samples when required.\nContributing to the analysis of fabrics, colours and shapes across womenswear/menswear/sportswear/activewear through online comparison shopping, industry awareness and analysis of current AYBL products.\nSupporting designers by producing mood boards based on briefed concepts, ensuring they are in line with our brand image and customer needs including patterns and graphic designs.\nOther general organisation and day to day administration of the design department.\nPerson Specification\nCurrently enrolled onto an undergraduate degree in a fashion related field.\nA keen interest in fashion/activewear across womenswear and/or menswear.\nBasic knowledge of garment construction.\nBasic experience with the design process including the creation of mood boards and design CADing.\nFamiliar with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).\nMotivated, hardworking and highly organised individual.\nCapable of working independently and as part of a small team.\nAbility to drive and having own car would be advantageous but not essential.\nSchedule\nThree days a week on site 9am-5pm. (Please only apply if you can reliably commute to B98 on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.)\nDuration\nTwo weeks initially.
