The more diverse we are, the better our ideas, strategies and client solutions will be.\nWe are looking for an experienced Civil Designer/Drafter to join our current group of passionate engineers, designers and project managers.\nThis role can be based at either our Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Melbourne offices.\nKey Responsibilities\nImport & manipulate survey data\n\nProduce detailed civil drawings/models including site layouts, earthworks, stormwater, below ground piping and road designs\n\nExport bulk earthwork and material quantities\n\nCollaborate with civil engineers to deliver plans for construction\n\nSupport project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings/models\n\nEstablish & maintain design templates and drawing standards\n\nThe roles can be offered on a permanent full or part time basis as we encourage our people to find an arrangement that works for them. This role can be based at either one of our offices: Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle or Brisbane.\n\nAbout you\nYou’ll be seeking fulfilment through autonomy, career flexibility, and working for a business that provides purpose and relevance in what you do. With outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and drive successful project outcomes, you’ll have experience working in a consulting environment, delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-office team.\nQualifications\nRelevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design\n\nSkills and experience\nProficient with CAD and Autodesk Civil 3D\n\nExperience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications\n\nKnowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards\n\nStrong attention to detail\n\nWell-developed verbal and written communication skills\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team\n\nMindset and behaviours\nSafety-first, risk-based approach to all design delivery\n\nCommitment to working safely within the company’s HSEQ systems\n\nEnthusiastic and motivated to learn from peers and senior team members\n\nWillingness to travel occasionally as required\n\nWhat we offer\nA career with Beca will provide you with:\nFlexibility & Wellbeing: We recognise that achieving a work-life balance is unique to everyone.
