With a particular focus on the Power, Energy and Civil sectors, this position offers opportunity to lead and deliver specialised estimates with a high degree of autonomy while working alongside multidisciplinary engineering, project management and advisory teams.\nWhile each project you work on will be different in scope and scale, this role will see you:\nContribute to the growth of our Australian business by bolstering the estimating capability and supporting projects within all regions where Beca has a presence across key markets including Power & Energy, Industrial, Water, Civil, Food Processing, Defence and Buildings.\n\nExposed to a wide range of projects across a variety of clients and industries.\n\nImpacting the quality of our project delivery by ensuring robust Estimation practices are followed across the team.\n\nBuilding capability while immediately supporting a range of projects across the globe.\n\nOur cost estimation and multi-disciplinary engineering team is spread across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offices. Working within our team, you will step into a supportive culture where you can be involved, be heard and be encouraged to lead.\nAbout You\nWe are looking for a proactive estimator with a solid foundation in cost estimating and construction who can work independently on a range of projects while collaborating effectively with technical specialists, project teams and clients. You may have a background in estimating, quantity surveying, trade, engineering or a related field, with practical construction and project delivery experience being highly valued.\nWe also expect that you will:\nTypically have 3-8 years of estimating, quantity surveying or similar experience.\n\nBe capable of independently delivering small to medium-sized estimates, with support available from senior team members on larger or more complex projects.\n\nHave an understanding of general construction methodologies.\n\nExperience within the Power & Energy sector, additional experience in Water, Industrial, Civil, Food Processing, Defence, Buildings or Infrastructure sectors also considered favorably\n\nHave on-site experience, and an understanding of prevailing market trends, construction costs, and risk mitigations\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical specialists and clients.\n\nProvide technical advice around estimating while embracing a culture that values teamwork.\n\nUnderstand the different classes of estimate (AACE Class 1 to AACE Class 5) and their associated expected level of accuracy, estimating methodology and end usage.\n\nContribute to knowledge sharing and support the development of less experienced team members where appropriate.\n\nThis exciting opportunity will see you step into a supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and continuous improvement.
