This is a senior technical leadership opportunity for an experienced engineer who is passionate about delivering complex substation design projects while mentoring and developing the next generation of engineers.\nWorking as part of our multidisciplinary Power team, you'll provide technical leadership across a range of transmission and distribution projects, helping our clients deliver critical infrastructure that supports communities and industries across Australasia. You'll collaborate with technical specialists across New Zealand and Australia and contribute to some of the region's most significant energy projects.\nThis role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on technical delivery with people leadership, client engagement, quality assurance and strategic project input.\nWhat you'll be doing\nProviding technical leadership for the delivery and review of secondary, protection, control and SCADA designs across transmission and distribution substation projects.\n\nActing as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams, ensuring high-quality, compliant and practical engineering solutions.\n\nLeading multidisciplinary teams across New Zealand and Australia to successfully deliver complex power infrastructure projects.\n\nMentoring and developing engineers and designers while contributing to capability growth, innovation and continuous improvement across the Power team.\n\nAbout You\nYou're a recognised secondary systems engineer with deep technical expertise and a passion for developing people, building client relationships and delivering complex power projects.\nYou'll bring:\nA relevant Electrical Engineering qualification and extensive experience delivering secondary and protection system designs for high-voltage transmission and distribution networks.\n\nDemonstrated technical leadership, including design review, quality assurance, client engagement and the ability to guide project teams through complex engineering challenges.\n\nStrong knowledge of substation protection, control and SCADA systems, together with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nA collaborative leadership style, a commitment to mentoring others, and eligibility to work in Australia\n\nChartered status or progress towards chartership is advantageous.\n\nWhat We Offer\nA career with Beca will provide you with:\nFlexibility & Wellbeing: We recognise that achieving a work-life balance is unique to everyone.
