You will work closely with biologists, machine learning researchers, and automation engineers to create systems that transform experimental data into predictive models of living systems.\nYou will contribute across the stack-from laboratory data ingestion pipelines and cloud infrastructure to internal tools, model-serving systems, and user-facing applications.\nThis role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building practical AI systems and are excited to work on technically challenging problems in biology.\nWhat You’ll Own\nSoftware Engineering\n Design and develop production-grade software systems \n Build internal applications and scientific tooling \n Develop APIs and backend services \n Build and maintain web applications and dashboards \n Create systems for experiment tracking and data visualization \n Improve software reliability, testing, and deployment processes \nData & AI Infrastructure\n Build and maintain large-scale biological data pipelines \n Design systems for ingestion, storage, transformation, and retrieval of multimodal biological data \n Develop infrastructure supporting AI model training and evaluation \n Optimize data movement between laboratory systems, cloud environments, and computational pipelines \n Improve dataset quality, lineage, reproducibility, and governance \n Support model serving and inference infrastructure \nCloud & Platform Engineering\n Design and maintain cloud infrastructure \n Improve scalability, reliability, and observability of internal systems \n Manage containerized and distributed workloads \n Build deployment and CI/CD systems \n Support high-performance computing and GPU infrastructure \n Optimize cloud utilization and cost efficiency \nSecurity & IT\n Improve organizational cybersecurity posture \n Manage identity and access controls \n Implement security monitoring and incident response processes \n Support device management and endpoint security \n Develop data security and compliance practices \n Help establish security standards appropriate for sensitive biological and AI data \nCross-Functional Collaboration\n Work closely with scientists to understand data generation workflows \nPartner with machine learning researchers to support model development \nCollaborate with automation and hardware teams on laboratory integrations \nTranslate scientific requirements into scalable software systems\nWho You Are\nYou are someone who:\nOperates with high agency -
