Bedrock Data built the industry's first Metadata Lake to solve this: a living map of all your data that shows what it is, where it lives, who's using it, and how sensitive it is, without ever moving the data itself. This lets enterprises automate security and governance at scale, making data protection continuous and invisible instead of manual and disruptive. Global leaders in technology, finance, healthcare, and biotech trust Bedrock Data to make data security operational. With a $25M Series A led by Greylock, Bedrock is led by repeat founders and technologists who built industry-leading enterprise platforms at Sumo Logic, Rubrik, and Cohesity. Learn more at bedrockdata.ai.\n About The Role\nWe’re looking for a backend engineer who is excited to build and operate scalable systems end-to-end. This role blends backend development with infrastructure and DevOps ownership, giving you full lifecycle responsibility for the services you build-from design to production. You’ll work on high-performance distributed systems while also shaping the tooling, infrastructure, and processes that enable reliable and fast delivery.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn the deployment lifecycle end-to-end - from build artifact to production - across our multi-tenant SaaS and single-tenant customer deployments.\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Jenkins, with progressive delivery patterns (canary, blue/green, feature flags) and automated rollback.\nBuild and scale Kubernetes platforms - design Helm charts, operators, and cluster topologies that work in our cloud and in customer-managed clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS). \nAuthor and harden Terraform modules for AWS, GCP, and Azure - VPC, IAM, secrets, networking, and observability - with a strong bias toward reusable, versioned modules.\nLead customer implementations as the senior deployment SME: scope environments, run architecture reviews, troubleshoot live incidents during go-live, and hand off to support.\nImprove developer experience by reducing time-from-commit-to-production and removing manual gates wherever it is safe to do so.\nDefine deployment standards - SLOs, change-management, release runbooks, secrets handling, and rollback policy - and evangelize them internally and externally.\nMentor engineers on deployment patterns, infra-as-code hygiene, and incident response\nWhat We’re Looking For\n6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform, or Deployment Engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.\nDeep expertise with at least two major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Comfortable designing multi-account, multi-region topologies.\nProduction-grade Kubernetes experience - Helm, operators, ingress, autoscaling, RBAC, and cluster lifecycle. You have debugged a real outage at 2 a.m. and lived to write the postmortem.\nStrong Terraform background (or equivalent IaC: Pulumi, CloudFormation). You think in modules, state, and drift, and you know when to reach for Ansible vs. Terraform.\nCI/CD fluency across pipeline tooling - GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or similar - and a track record of shipping safer, faster releases.\nScripting and automation in Python, Go, or Bash. You write code that other engineers have to read.\nCustomer-facing chops - you can sit on a call with a customer's platform team, whiteboard an architecture, and earn their trust as the technical expert in the room.\nStrong written communication - runbooks, RFCs, and customer-facing docs are part of the job.\nNice to Have\nExperience deploying data, ML, or AI workloads.\nService mesh experience (Istio, Linkerd) and zero-trust networking patterns.\nBackground in compliance-sensitive environments (SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP).\nOpen-source contributions to infra / platform tooling.\nExperience with policy-as-code (OPA / Conftest).\nCompensation\nBedrock hires across a range of experience levels for this role. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $230,000 USD, depending on experience, scope, and leveling determined during the interview process. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for equity compensation and benefits.\nWhy Join Bedrock Data?\nWork on high-impact systems with real ownership.\nBlend backend engineering with infrastructure and DevOps, not siloed work.\nOpportunity to shape how systems are built, deployed, and operated.\nFast-moving environment with meaningful technical challenges.\nShape the future of data security.\nBe part of our rocketship journey.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4658,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":6,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Cloud Security","Data Loss Prevention"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T22:46:42Z"}],"liveness":{"score":7,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.26,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":159,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["conf:7","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-09-28T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":230000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/bedrock-data-deployment-engineer-infrastructure-devops","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/bedrock-data-deployment-engineer-infrastructure-devops.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-29T00:31:32Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":386,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4614,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-30T00:00:00Z"}}}
