We’re seeking creative, collaborative, proactive team members who inspire us with their high standards of excellence, integrity, and commitment to our shared mission.\nPosition Summary\nBedrock Energy is hiring a Ground Operator to run pump operations and support field execution across the drilling spread. This role is responsible for pump startup and shutdown, rig support, equipment support, valve and flow path execution, and assisting the Mud Operator with staging materials, inventory, and fluid system tasks. This is a hands on field role that builds foundational understanding of the full Bedrock drilling system.\nThis is a hitch-based role. Crew work rotations at project sites across the US. Bedrock covers travel to and from site, lodging during your hitch, and provides a per diem for meals.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate pumps and support fluid system execution\nAssist the Mud Operator with valve control, inventory, material staging, and additive handling\nSupport rig up, demob, bore swaps, pressure testing, and equipment preparation\nPerform rig walk arounds and report abnormalities in pumps, valves, hoses, and related equipment\nHelp prepare for the next operation, including tooling, loop prep, and general field readiness\nSupport maintenance activities, filter changes, lubrication, and equipment checks\nBuild familiarity with the full rig spread, including tank systems, pumps, and support equipment\nFollow direction from the Driller and Mud Operator while maintaining strong field awareness\nAssist in other normal geothermal drilling operations tasks as required\nPreferred Background\n1-3 years of relevant experience\nO&G surface equipment experience such as frac, cementing, or workover\nWater well pump operator or similar equipment role\nExperience in structured field operations with equipment and support systems\nForklift experience\nMinimum Qualifications\nExperience operating and servicing pumps\nUnderstands startup and shutdown procedures\nAble to support the Mud Operator and anticipate next step needs\nMechanically inclined and comfortable with physical field work\nStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn Bedrock systems","description_format":"text","description_chars":2549,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":1,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-26T09:46:38Z"}],"liveness":{"score":4,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.129,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":132,"expected_fill_days":17,"reasons":["conf:3","win:tail","crowd:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-09-28T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":56000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/bedrock-energy-ground-operator","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/bedrock-energy-ground-operator.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-28T06:42:24Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4807,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":193,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-29T00:00:00Z"}}}
