If you're ready to do meaningful work on hard problems, we'd love to have you join us.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead the deployment and operation of autonomous construction technology on partner construction sites. This role is responsible for ensuring successful site launches, safe operational performance, and strong partner relationships from early planning through project completion.\nThis role goes beyond traditional site operations-it includes the end-to-end customer operational experience, including hands-on customer training to operate autonomous systems and ongoing operations throughout the lifecycle of the project.\nThe Site Operations Manager acts as the operational point of contact for the partner site project management, while coordinating closely with engineering, partnership, and operations teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality site operations.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDeployment & Site Operations\nContribute to early-stage site assessments and operational feasibility reviews.\n\nDefine work plans including scope and operational requirements.\n\nPlan and execute deployments across multiple partner sites\n\nCoordinate onsite launch readiness across engineering, fleet, and site teams\n\nLead onsite setup, workflow validation, and safety alignment\n\nOwn site launch and transition into steady-state operations\n\nOversee daily operations to ensure safe, reliable performance\n\nRun regular operational check-ins with partners\n\nCapture field insights to inform product, engineering and operational improvements\n\nManage project closeout, reporting, and post-deployment learnings\n\nCustomer Robot Operation Experience\nManage the customer lifecycle from launch through steady-state operations.\n\nLead structured training and support for new partners, ensuring alignment on workflows, expectations, safety and success criteria.\n\nTranslate complex robotic systems into clear, practical operating instructions.\n\nCertify that partner site management and operators are fully trained and confident prior to and after launch.\n\nPartner with internal stakeholders to incorporate field learnings into training materials and workflows.\n\nBuild strong, trust-based relationships with partner teams to drive long-term success and adoption.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSafe, on-time deployment of autonomous operations\n\nCustomer teams independently operating robotic systems with confidence\n\nStrong onboarding experience with fast time-to-productivity\n\nHigh customer satisfaction driven by training, support, and engagement\n\nStrong partner relationships and clear communication\n\nContinuous improvement of partner training and deployment processes\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nRequired\nExperience managing operations in construction or industrial environments\n\nExperience directing and coordinating heavy equipment operators and field crews\n\nAbility to interpret site construction drawings, site maps, survey data, and grading plans to support earthwork operations\n\nExperience leading cross-functional initiatives with engineering and field teams\n\nExcellent communication and partner management skills\n\nExperience training customers and customer support in an operational setting\n\nComfortable working in dynamic, fast-changing environments\n\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices, with experience ensuring compliance in the field\n\nWillingness to travel 50%+ and work from customer sites\n\nLocated in surrounding Austin area\nPreferred\nBackground in autonomy, robotics, or advanced construction technology\n\nFamiliarity with construction tool Propeller Aero\n\nExperience launching new operational programs or deployments\n\nExperience building training programs, manuals, or playbooks\n\nFamiliarity with customer-facing tools or operational platforms\n\nWhy This Role Matters\nThis role is critical not just for deploying technology, but for ensuring customers can successfully adopt, operate, and scale it.
