It makes a difference! \nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for an Intermediate QA Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team and contribute to the quality of backend services, APIs, integrations, internal tools, and platform capabilities.\nThis role is focused on someone who already has solid QA fundamentals and backend testing experience, and who can operate with growing autonomy within an agile team. You will participate throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements refinement to release validation, helping the team identify risks, define test scenarios, automate high-value tests, and ensure reliable delivery of platform solutions.\nYou will work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and other QA professionals to support quality practices, improve test coverage, and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.\nWhat You’ll Do\nParticipate in agile ceremonies such as refinement, planning, daily meetings, reviews, and retrospectives.\nSupport quality from the requirements phase by contributing to shift-left validation practices.\nAnalyze requirements and break them down into test scenarios with clear coverage of main flows and common edge cases.\nSupport the definition of clear, testable acceptance criteria for backend services, APIs, integrations, and platform features.\nDesign, execute, and maintain functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and API tests.\nCreate and maintain automated tests for stable and high-value backend scenarios.\nExecute automated tests and maintain existing scripts following established patterns and guidelines.\nValidate service behavior, API contracts, error handling, logs, data consistency, and backend workflows.\nIdentify, log, and track defects clearly and objectively, including steps, evidence, impact, and priority.\nMonitor test execution results and contribute to quality reporting and visibility.\nOrganize testing activities based on sprint priorities and communicate risks when scope, time, or quality is impacted.\nCollaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve quality concerns early.\nContribute to root cause analysis and suggest preventive improvements when relevant.\nFollow established QA processes and contribute to their continuous improvement.\nShare knowledge, testing practices, and feedback with junior QAs and team members.\nWhat You’ll Need\nExperience as a QA Engineer, preferably in backend, platform, or technical product teams.\nStrong experience testing APIs, services, integrations, and backend workflows.\nExperience creating and executing automated API/backend tests.\nSolid understanding of software testing fundamentals, including functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and acceptance testing.\nAbility to break requirements into test scenarios and identify main flows, edge cases, and quality risks.\nGood understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, status codes, authentication, request/response validation, and API contracts.\nIntermediate knowledge of database validation, debugging, and log analysis.\nExperience using test management and bug tracking tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or similar.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution in delivery workflows.\nAbility to work in agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.\nStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.\nOrganized, proactive, accountable, and comfortable managing assigned testing activities within agreed deadlines.\nNice to Have\nExperience with contract testing, performance testing, reliability testing, or security testing fundamentals.\nKnowledge of cloud environments, containers, Kubernetes, or infrastructure concepts.\nExperience testing distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or asynchronous workflows.\nExperience with observability tools, including logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, or monitoring platforms.\nExperience contributing to release decisions with risk awareness.\nAbility to support RCA and suggest preventive improvements.\nExperience mentoring junior QAs or sharing QA best practices with developers.\nIntermediate English communication skills, written and spoken.\nMore About You\nYou understand that quality starts early in the development lifecycle.\nYou
