Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with a multi-disciplinary team, and you need to be equally comfortable working at sea trials and a normal desk in the office. You will need to work in Singapore.\nDesign and Implement overall Mechanical Systems of Autonomous Platforms: Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (HAUVs) \nDesign of mechanical components, mechanisms and electronics housings in CAD. \nConduct Finite Element Analysis Simulation on design components for structural integrity and stress failure assessment. \nDrafting of 2D drawings for fabrication and assembly. \nAssembly and testing of designed mechanical components in the workshop and testing in real world environments. \nSail out to sea for testing and evaluation of completed mechanical designs and other robotic systems.Design and Implement sub-components of our Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle. \n\nPower electronics design to various system components, sensors and actuator systems. \nWire harness and cabling design and production drawing generation(2D and 3D). \nFirmware development on microcontrollers such as Atmega and ARM for real-time control of hardware components. \nBench-testing and field testing of key sensors and components for integration to our vehicles. \nCarry out intensive bench and in-water testing of our vehicles, and document performance. \nStress testing of system components for harsh environment operations such as thermal, vibration, EMI-EMC and humidity. \nGather user requirements in collaboration with management team and customers. \nEstablish test procedures for mechanical quality control and regulatory compliance. \nDesired Qualities and Skillsets\nB.Eng in Engineering (Mechatronics),Computer Engineering, Mechnical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related experience. \n0-3 years of experience in mechanical product design from concept to product delivery to customers. \nProficient in SolidWorks or equivalent engineering CAD design software. \nExperienced with prototyping and various manufacturing methods ranging from 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, welding, composites etc. \nExperienced with Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation modelling such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, OpenFOAM or equivalent simulation software. \nExperienced with corrosion control methods and thermal design methods is a plus. \nExperience with battery operated designs, embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensor and actuator interfacing. \nExperience with low voltage power electronics design for battery operated systems (power regulation, boost/buck conversion, power protection, load balancing etc). \nExperience with Altium designer and other equivalent PCB CAD software. \nExperience with any 2D schematic, wire harnessing and cable assembly design software. \nExperience with C++ for embedded systems programming and development. \nKnowledge of python is a plus for high level interfacing and algorithms development. \nExperience with git and version control systems. \nExperience with quality control and test procedures for tests such as in EMI-EMC, Vibration,
