These include the renown Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and an exciting new Lactose free range.\nWe have an incredible opportunity for a new Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join the Bega Group team! The apprentice will complete on the job training and be guided and supervised by the Reliability Team Leader and qualified maintenance team members while completing formal training through TAFE.\nThe role works on site at Ridge st from 6am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday and TAFE is located in Nowra. Having reliable transportation to get to both is essential. There is a 4-year commitment to complete the training.\nWe are looking for potential, not only performance. We value diversity of thinking, experiences and perspectives and listening.\nIn your application, please include why you would like to start your career with Bega Group in the Mechanical field and what interests you about a career as a Fitter.\nResponsibilities\nWork with experienced and qualified tradespersons to develop your skills and techniques to diagnose and rectify equipment faults, in industrial processes equipment across the business. \nLearn and develop safety risk assessment skills with trained professionals for safe, efficient delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.\nLearn the safe and correct operation of plant and machinery and the correct use of hand and power tools.\nLearn and develop new skills of how the analyse, diagnose, rectify process plant breakdowns, and contribute to recommendations for improvement.\nAttend TAFE and complete the required modules on time and pass with good results.\nA bout you\nMinimum Year 10 or equivalent or a mature aged applicant\nA commitment to undertake 4 years of relevant training to complete a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) and study at TAFE in Nowra in block course arrangements.\nAptitude in mechanical reasoning and understanding, with critical thinking and trouble shooting skills, with a strong focus on mathematical skills\nHonest, reliable and trustworthy with an excellent can-do attitude, willingness to learn and committed\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate cross functionally\nBega Group Story\nBega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
