This role ensures that SOC-related security controls are not only documented, but demonstrably effective through continuous testing, evidence validation, and cross-functional collaboration.\nThe position contributes to proactive risk reduction by enabling timely remediation, improving audit outcomes, and embedding a culture of continuous compliance across IT and security teams. Success in this role is measured by audit readiness, control reliability, and the ability to translate complex technical operations into clear, defensible audit evidence.\nWe'll trust you to:\nSOC Audit & Compliance\nSupport SOC 2 (Type I & Type II), Future ISO 27001 readiness, and internal security audits as they relate to SOC and IT operations. \nMap security and SOC controls to applicable frameworks (AICPA Trust Services Criteria, ITGCs). \nCoordinate and manage audit evidence collection from SOC, endpoint, identity, and infrastructure teams. \nPerform control design and operating effectiveness reviews for SOC adjacent controls. \nTrack audit findings, risks, and remediation actions through closure. \nMaintain continuous audit readiness rather than point-in-time compliance. \nVulnerability & Remediation Governance\nPartner with IT and GRC to support vulnerability management oversight. \nReview and validate vulnerability findings from Nessus scans. \nTrack remediation of SLAs, compensating controls, and risk exceptions. \nPerform remediation validation testing post-patching or configuration changes. \nProduce vulnerability compliance metrics and audit-ready reports. \nEndpoint & Device Security Compliance\nSupport endpoint security control assurance across corporate devices using Microsoft Intune. \nValidate enforcement of: \nDevice compliance policies \nSecurity baselines \nPatch and configuration standards \nSupport audit evidence related to: \nDevice enrollment \nConfiguration compliance \nEndpoint protection integration (e.g., Defender ecosystem) \nPartner with endpoint teams during audits to explain control design and operation. \nData Governance & Compliance\nSupport data protection and information governance controls using Microsoft Purview. \nAssist in audits related to: \nData classification and labelling\nDLP policy enforcement\nRetention and records management \nInsider risk and audit logging \nValidate evidence of operational effectiveness for Purview-based controls. \nMaintain compliance documentation related to data security and privacy controls.\nDocumentation & Stakeholder Coordination\nMaintain SOC-related policies, standards, procedures, and control narratives. \nTranslate technical SOC and security processes into audit-readydocumentation. \nCollaborate with: \nSOC Operations \nEndpoint & IAM teams \nInternal Audit \nRisk & Compliance stakeholders \nPrepare audit responses, management action plans, and status reporting. \nYou'll need to have:\n2-6 years of experience in information security, IT audit, SOC governance, or security compliance. \nHands-on exposure to SOC audit or compliance activities. \nWorking knowledge of:\nSOC 2 / ITGC concepts \nControl testing and evidence collection \nPreferred Skills & Certifications\nFamiliarity with: \nISO 27001 \nNIST CSF / 80053 \nAICPA Trust Services Criteria \nExperience working with or supporting: \n Nessus (vulnerability scanning & remediation tracking) \n Microsoft Intune (device compliance / endpoint security assurance) \n Microsoft Purview (DLP, data classification, compliance tooling) \nStrong documentation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills. \nCertifications (nice to have, not mandatory): \nCISA \nISO 27001 Foundation or LA \nCRISC \nMicrosoft Security
