This role is a key member of the Enterprise Data Governance function and is responsible for operationalizing data stewardship within a federated governance model.\nWorking closely with the Head of Enterprise Data Governance, this position will serve as a subject matter expert (SME), translating governance strategy, policy, and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable business processes. The Associate Director will lead domain onboarding, drive stewardship adoption, and oversee strategic governance initiatives.\nThis role partners across business, technology, security, privacy, legal, and compliance teams to establish trusted, compliant, and well-governed data assets that support analytics, AI readiness, regulatory compliance, and business decision-making. The position will also provide leadership to managed service providers and junior governance resources while monitoring stewardship effectiveness through defined metrics and reporting.\nEssential Functions of the Job:\nServe as a SME for enterprise data governance and data stewardship, contributing to governance operating models, policies, standards, processes, and best practices.\nLead onboarding of business and data domains into the federated governance framework, including role enablement, stewardship adoption, and governance process implementation.\nEnable enterprise data discovery, transparency, and reuse through metadata management, data catalog, and data marketplace capabilities.\nImplement metadata management, business glossary curation, and stewardship workflows.\nIntegrate governance processes across enterprise platforms and business workflows.\nInfluence the adoption of governance and stewardship practices without direct authority by building trusted relationships and aligning stakeholders around shared objectives.\nLeverage automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve stewardship efficiency and governance effectiveness.\nEstablish, monitor, and report governance KPIs, initiative progress, stewardship outcomes, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.\nPartner with platform owners, architects, and data teams to ensure governance technologies effectively support stewardship, metadata management, data quality, and compliance requirements.\nAuthor governance policies, standards, procedures, and operating models aligned with enterprise data management best practices.\nLead stakeholder engagement sessions, governance working groups, and training programs that drive accountability, stewardship, and sustained adoption.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, enterprise data management, or related disciplines.\nDemonstrated experience serving as a data governance SME within a federated, matrixed, or enterprise-scale operating model.\nProven ability to influence outcomes and drive adoption of governance processes, standards, and platforms without formal authority.\nExperience leading cross-functional governance initiatives involving business, technology, and compliance stakeholders.\nHands-on experience implementing and driving adoption of enterprise data governance platforms such as Informatica, Atlan, Alation, or similar solutions.\nExperience enabling and training data stewards, data owners, and business stakeholders on governance processes and tools.\nExperience with data classification, metadata management, data quality, and regulatory-aligned governance practices.\nStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate competing priorities across business and technology organizations.\nExperience leading, mentoring, or coordinating team members, managed service providers, or governance resources.\nDemonstrated ability to translate governance strategy, policy, and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable operating processes.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience leading governance platform implementations and stewardship adoption initiatives (Informatica, Atlan, Collibra, Alation, etc…).\nStrong facilitation skills, including governance workshops, onboarding sessions, and working groups.\nExperience supporting Data-as-a-Product operating models on modern data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.\nExperience governing data within regulated environments, including GxP, clinical, R&D, or pharmaceutical domains.\nExperience defining and reporting governance and stewardship KPIs to senior leadership.\nUnderstanding of how metadata, stewardship, and data quality capabilities enable analytics, AI, and business outcomes.\nRelevant certifications such as CDMP, DGSP, DCAM, DAMA, or equivalent credentials.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nSupervisory responsibilities are delivery-focused and include leading and providing direction for our managed service providers on certain projects, while providing strategic oversight and direction to junior data governance resources.\nBeOne Global Competencies:\nWhen we exhibit our values of Patients First, Collaborative Spirit, Bold Ingenuity and Driving Excellence, through our twelve global competencies below, we help get more affordable medicines to more patients around the world.\nFosters Teamwork\nProvides and Solicits Honest and Actionable Feedback\nSelf-Awareness\nActs Inclusively\nDemonstrates Initiative\nEntrepreneurial Mindset\nContinuous Learning\nEmbraces Change\nResults-Oriented\nAnalytical Thinking/Data Analysis\nFinancial Excellence\nCommunicates with Clarity\nSalary Range Poland: 289,800.00 PLN -
