Bekaert continues to invest in robust Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance capabilities to support its digital ambitions.\nWithin the Advanced Digital Solutions (ADS) organization, the Master Data Steward- Operations plays a vital role in establishing and sustaining enterprise-wide data governance practices. This role ensures the integrity, consistency, and usability of master data across manufacturing, planning, and quality processes, thereby enabling scalable, data-driven digital solutions.\nKey Activities and Responsibilities\nAs a Master Data Steward for the Operations domain, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, governance, and continuous improvement of master data objects supporting:\nManufacturing Execution\nProduction Planning\nQuality Management and Quality Control\nYou will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, functional experts, and cross-functional product teams across regions to identify data challenges, drive standardization, and strengthen Bekaert’s data foundation.\n1. Support Digital Transformation Initiatives\nContribute to data-related tracks in digital manufacturing and supply chain programs.\nAlign master data structures with business processes in SAP and connected systems.\nDrive harmonization of master data models across business units.\nSupport development of scalable and reliable data pipelines.\n2. Master Data Governance & Quality\nDefine, implement, and govern master data standards, templates, and business rules.\nEstablish and maintain robust data quality frameworks (profiling, cleansing, validation).\nMonitor data quality KPIs and ensure continuous improvement.\nCollaborate with plant data administrators to enforce best practices.\n3. Data-Driven Insights & Analytics Enablement\nUnderstand business requirements and translate them into data needs.\nIdentify data gaps and process inefficiencies impacting decision-making.\nSupport development of reports and analytics leveraging master data.\nEnable faster and better decision-making through trusted data assets.\n4. Data Migration & Lifecycle Management\nSupport data migration activities for system implementations and rollouts.\nPerform mass data creation, validation, and updates (e.g., via LSMW or similar tools).\nEnsure data accuracy during system transitions and deployment phases.\nLead periodic data cleansing and maintenance activities.\n5. Data Strategy & Standardization\nContribute to defining and executing the Operations data roadmap.\nDevelop sustainable and scalable master data models.\nSimplify and standardize data maintenance processes across plants and regions.\nAlign data initiatives with Bekaert’s overall digital and data strategy.\n6. Cross-Functional Collaboration\nAct as a bridge between business, IT, and data teams.\nEngage with global stakeholders to ensure consistent data practices.\nSupport product teams in delivering data-driven solutions.\nSkills and Competencies\nDomain Expertise\nStrong understanding of manufacturing, planning, and quality processes.\nKnowledge of end-to-end supply chain and production operations.\nSAP & Technical Skills\nHands-on experience in SAP PP and QM modules.\nDeep understanding of master data objects such as:\nBill of Materials (BOM)\nRouting / Recipes\nWork Centers\nProduction Versions\nClassification & Characteristics\nVariant Configuration / Object Dependencies\n\nMaster Data Management\nProven experience in Master Data Management & Governance with exposure to MDM tools.\nStrong exposure to:\nData quality frameworks\nData standardization and harmonization\nDe-duplication and data enrichment\nData dictionary and metadata management\nData Operations\nExperience in Mass data maintenance, data migration, and data cleansing.\nFamiliarity with tools like LTMC, DMC, Winshuttle or equivalent.\nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective stakeholder management and communication skills.\nAbility to work in cross-functional and globally distributed teams.\nStrong ownership mindset towards data quality and governance.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Variant Configuration and Object Dependencies.\nExposure to Data Analytics platforms like Power BI and SQL language, SSMS\nExposure to New SAP technology like SAP analytics, BTP and SAP Joule for Data analytics.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n10+ years of overall experience, with at least 5+ years in Master Data Management and Data Governance roles.\nStrong experience in SAP Manufacturing support and Supply chain environments.\nProven track record of working in global, cross-functional setups.\nBe bold and take the leap!\nOur Digital Advanced Solutions (ADS) team is a dynamic group of technologists from around the globe who consistently push boundaries in digital innovation, cyber resilience, data science, intelligent automation, cloud solutions, and new agile methodologies.\nIt is also good to know tht at Bekaert, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive work environment.
