Purpose of the Role\nTo provide all detailed support required by Project Manager, including creation of documentation working with suppliers, liaising with design team, client, and internal/external resources to ensure successful project execution. Attending meetings with client/suppliers and external certification bodies.\nMain areas of responsibility\nII. Roles and Responsibilities\nAssisting PM\nDevelop standard and project-specific specifications required to control production, e.g. material specifications, NDE procedures, quality plans, component data sheets, assembly specifications, test specifications.\nLiaising with design team.\nCompliance with customer spec (QA and technical)\nDefine scopes of work for subcontracted enquiry packages.\nCoordinate ITT processes in conjunction with other internal resources and provide technical support during ITT clarifications.\nSupplier identification, detailed procurement, expediting, visits.\nCarry out sourcing and sub-supplier evaluation/qualification, including technical evaluation and evaluation of quality, health & safety, and environmental aspects.\nFollow up manufacturing activities at sub-suppliers, including holding kick-off/pre-production meetings, carrying out in-process expediting and quality inspections and environmental checks, witnessing factory acceptance testing/final inspections and carrying out document reviews, working in conjunction with fabrication engineers where appropriate.\nEnforce health, safety, and environmental requirements at sub-supplier locations.\nIII. Skills & Competencies\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering.\n3 years’ experience in a similar role.\nMicrosoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.\nOutlook, including electronic calendar.\nExcellent communication/interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.\nExcellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.\nMust be able to follow instructions and work on own initiative.\nFlexibility and adaptability to ensure tasks are prioritised appropriately.\nUnderstanding of fundamental engineering principles and manufacturing processes.\nExperience of working with sub suppliers.\nHonesty, reliability and discretion are essential.\nExperience in Solidworks would be of benefit but is not essential.\nBe bold and take the leap!\nWe're looking for individuals who are not afraid to take risks and explore new ideas.
