This position reports to the Salon Manager. This position is nonexempt.\nClient Sales and Service responsibilities:\nSuggesting retail products to all clients, upselling/suggesting larger quantities, promotions and additional services.\nAbility to cross-sell services to other areas of the salon.\nResponding professionally to customer service issues and promptly addressing complaints.\nExhibiting good communication skills when dealing with a difficult or corrective service situation.\nOvercoming booking mistakes or corrective work.\nEnsuring that refunds and re-do’s are handled in a professional and friendly manner.\nOngoing personal continuing education on products, services, and current issues relating to the industry.\nPromoting business outside of the salon.\nAdjusting schedule to meet client needs.\nTelephone/Reception responsibilities:\nAcknowledging the client within sixty seconds of client’s entering into the salon.\nAnswering telephone within three rings, with a smile, stating name and salon location.\nListening for a reply before placing the client on hold.\nEfficiently handles scheduling, canceling, and re-scheduling of client appointments.\nHandling POS transactions timely and efficiently.\nEmphasizing pre-bookings during client check-out.\nSalon and Personal Presentation responsibilities:\nEnsuring that the reception area and salon meet and exceed State Board Regulations.\nMaintain a clean and organized reception area.\nEffectively organizing time and resources to meet sales goals.\nCommunication with Salon Management regarding issues and needs.\nMeeting salon guidelines for attendance and tardiness.\nMaintaining an updated professional appearance and meets the salon dress code\nEducation and Experience:\nGED or High School diploma\nProficient in computer based business-related computer softward.\nAbility to handle money, count and make change\nCustomer Service or Cosmetic industry preferred.\n Physical:\nAbility to use computer keyboard, standard telephone and other related business equipment.\nAbility to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.\nAbility to stand for up to 8-hour shifts.\nAbility to lift up to 25
