In this role, you’ll inspect treated utility poles to ensure they meet strict industry and customer standards. You’ll work closely with plant operations, supporting safety, quality, and performance across the yard.\nLocation: Broken Bow, Oklahoma | 1st Shift: 7:00AM - 3:00PM, M-F (Overtime as needed)\nStarting pay is $22.50 an hour\nKey Responsibilities\nInspect treated poles for compliance with ANSI, REA, AWPA, and customer specifications\n\nIdentify defects and apply proper grading rules based on relevant standards\n\nPhysically roll poles with third party inspector to visually inspect each pole\n\nPerform penetration and retention testing on treating charges\n\nTitrate treating solution as required\n\nAccurately complete and maintain inspection records and documentation\n\nCommunicate inspection results with plant and quality leadership\n\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area\n\nCollaborate with internal and independent quality inspectors\n\nOther yard duties as needed\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent\nExperience working outdoors in variable weather conditions\n\nHands-on manual labor a plus (consistently lift 50 pounds)\n\nPrevious quality control or inspection experience is a plus\n\nSkills & Requirements:\nStrong understanding (or willingness to learn) ANSI, REA, AWPA, and ASTM standards\n\nAbility to read a tape measure accurately\n\nComfortable working around and on pole piles, including climbing ladders\n\nSolid math skills and attention to detail\n\nGood communication and record-keeping abilities\n\nCommitment to safety and proper PPE use\n\nFamiliarity with inventory systems is helpful\n\nBELL LUMBER & POLE COMPANY\nWith a family legacy spanning over 115 years, Bell Lumber & Pole Co. and its businesses (Bell Timber Inc., Bell Structural Systems, Alamco Wood Products) have established a reputation for excellence.\nAs one of the largest producers of high-quality, renewable wood poles and structures for utility and telecom companies across North America and beyond, Bell plays a vital role in powering the future.
