This team is responsible for technology strategy supporting Bell TV and Media platforms and services. The media industry is undergoing significant transformation as traditional broadcast and production environments converge with cloud-based platforms, streaming services, data-driven operations and artificial intelligence. This role will help define how emerging technologies can be applied across the media value chain-from the creation and management of content through its distribution and delivery to audiences.\nWorking at the intersection of strategy, technology innovation and enterprise architecture, the successful candidate will partner with senior business and technology leaders to identify opportunities for modernization, develop strategic technology roadmaps and guide transformational initiatives across the organization. Emphasis will be placed on AI/ML, generative AI, cloud technologies, data and analytics, automation, and emerging media technologies that can improve content operations, audience experiences, operational efficiency and the organization's ability to develop new digital products and revenue opportunities.\nAs a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture role by helping to define and set standards/best practices for the team, while leveraging AI where possible. You will also be responsible to produce technical feasibility assessments, plan the delivery of new technical capabilities, align and support delivery across multiple internal and external streams, and communicate plans, progress and risks to Senior level management.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and execute technology strategies supporting the organization’s direction as a modern digital media company.\nDefine technology roadmaps across media production, content management, broadcast, streaming and digital distribution.\nEvaluate how emerging technologies and changing industry practices affect the organization's media technology landscape\nIdentify opportunities to modernize traditional media workflows through cloud, software-defined infrastructure, automation, data and artificial intelligence.\nAlign technology investments with the organization's content, audience, operational and commercial strategies.\nPresent technical feasibility assessments, architectural recommendations and transformation roadmaps to senior leadership.\nHelp establish long-term technology direction as traditional broadcast environments converge with digital and streaming platforms.\nAssess opportunities and impacts to Bell MediaTV systems including conceptual architecture, costing, teams impacted, effort, dependencies, and benefits. \nAssess opportunities to consolidate and simplify the end-to-end technology stack across Bell Media and TV.\nEngage with external partners and other Bell teams on solution options and related recommendations\nEngage technology vendors and industry partners to evaluate emerging platforms and capabilities, including leading trials\nPrepare financial analysis on technology opportunities, including multi-year costing and benefits\nStay current on major disruptive technology and non-technology trends that affect the Business\nBalance innovation with scalability, reliability, interoperability, security and long-term maintainability\nBuild consensus across organizations with different operational requirements and technology environments\nCritical Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent degree or experience)\nPreferred: Expertise in video technology, obtained through advanced education and/or work experience\nPreferred: Experience in leveraging AI for day to day operations as well as for developing AI/ML or generative AI strategies within a media environment, obtained through advanced education and/or work experience\n8+ years experience in solution architecture\nProfessional experience in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, software engineering or digital transformation.\nAbility to connect changes in technology and the media industry with long-term business strategy.\nDeep understanding of the broader OTT video ecosystem and video services industry with preference to have a solid end to end understanding of video technology platforms and services within Bell Media and TV\nPreferred: Familiarity and or working experience with Bell Media Digital Products and Brands, especially with front end and back end technical systems\nPreferred: Experience architecting and implementing video and streaming technology solutions, Adtech technologies, AI/ML, generative AI, Big Data and analytics technologies\nPreferred: Experience with cloud-based media processing and distribution architectures, including cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers and distributed systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nSuperior communication and presentation skills;
