Reporting to the STS Sample Lab Manager, this hands-on role supports shipping and receiving, inventory control, raw material handling, sample compounding, and related administrative activities. This role provides flexible support across the department based on business needs, customer priorities, production schedules, and workload demands. Daily responsibilities may vary and the ideal candidate is adaptable, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable shifting priorities in a fast-paced laboratory and warehouse environment\nYour Responsibilities\nPick, pack, label, document, and ship domestic and international sample packages\nMaintain accurate raw-material and finished-goods inventory through replenishment, cycle counts, and system transactions\nReceive, move, stage, store, and replenish materials needed for sample lab operations\nPrepare samples by accurately weighing ingredients and operating laboratory equipment in accordance with batch sheets and established procedures\nAssist in fulfilling flavor sample requests and schedule compounding orders using production, inventory, and project management systems\nCollaborate with R&D, Quality Control, Production, and other teams to support efficient workflow and timely sample delivery\nMaintain accurate documentation and a safe, clean, organized, and compliant work environment\nPerform other duties as assigned based on departmental needs\nYour Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nAt least two years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, or logistics support\nBasic knowledge of laboratory weighing, sample preparation, and material-handling practices\nAbility to accurately follow batch sheets, work instructions, and standard operating procedures\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory or sample-tracking systems\nStrong organization, time management, problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment\nCommitment to safety, quality, Good Manufacturing Practices, and company procedures\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in chemistry, Food Science, Biology, or related scientific discipline\nTwo to three years of experience in the flavor, fragrance, food, chemical, or related manufacturing industry\nExperience supporting sample compounding, inventory management, and shipping within a laboratory environment\nExperience with D365, PLM platforms, Batch Metrics, or similar workflow-management systems\nPhysical Requirements\nThis position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, handling materials and equipment, and working in laboratory, warehouse, and shipping environments while wearing required personal protective equipment.
