Your future belongs at the home of the Excellent Chicken…Bell and Evans!\n3rd Shift -Part time\nJob Summary: (See the Summary of Responsibilities for a comprehensive list of duties):\nRepairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and other equipment in order to maintain and increase the flow of production. Provides own tools.*\nSummary of Responsibilities:\nObserves mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.\nDismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.\nExamines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.\nInspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.\nAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.\nRepairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.\nLubricates and cleans parts.\nStarts devices to test their performance.\nSets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.\nInitiates purchase order for parts and machines.\nRepairs electrical equipment.\nRemove and install new equipment as needed.\nTake a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns.\nMust be able to work at least 8 plus hours per day 6 days a week, weekends and be on weekend rotation call duty\nOther duties may be assigned on occasion at the request of the Maintenance Supervisor.\nQualifications and Demands:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must possess good reading and writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers on an individual or team basis. Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Must possess the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, as well as to draw and interpret bar graphs.
