If you’re looking to develop your skills and be part of the future of luxury, this is your moment.\nPrimary Responsibilities Include:\nConduct on-going preventive maintenance and upkeep of maintenance services.\nEnsure that all the maintenance activities and systems adhere to the standards / efficiency / productivity levels that have been set for the unit\nEnsure the hotel meets health and safety standards in line with company H&S Audit standards. \nArrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities.\nOrganise all projects in a manner that does not disturb guests.\nOversee all aspects of projects -the coordination and completion on time within budget and within scope.\nSet deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of projects.\nAct fast to resolve emergency issues.\nFind ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy.\nManage relationships with contractors and service providers.\nMaintain budgets, expenses and activity logs.\nMake periodic checks of completed repair and maintenance work to ensure that the established standards have been met.\nCoordinate with Executive Housekeeper, Front of House Manager and other Head of Departments on preventive maintenance of rooms and other repair work.\nDevelop, update and implement the department’s Standard Operating Procedure manuals.\nRequirements\nWhat You Bring:\nMinimum of 5 years proven experience in similar position.\nStrong leadership skills to manage a team.\nThe ability to maximise staff performance through training & coaching.\nExcellent knowledge of maintenance requirements and standards for a 5 Star Hotel.\nSound knowledge of departmental financial management, budgets, cost control.\nMust be able to work shifts, public holidays and Sundays as and when required.\nIn-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.\nFamiliarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems; hotel industry experience is a plus\nExcellent organizational and leadership skills.\nBenefits\nWhat We Offer:\nAt Mount Nelson, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture built on kindness, active listening, and genuine connections with our colleagues and guests.
