This role is about taking the time to understand what matters to each guest and thoughtfully curating experiences that feel effortless, personal and true to the destination.\nWorking closely with our team, you will bring together every element of a journey with care and attention to detail. You will build trusted relationships, share your knowledge of the region, and help ensure that every itinerary reflects the character, authenticity and sense of discovery that guests expect from Belmond.\nAs a senior member of the team, you will also provide guidance and support to colleagues, helping to foster a collaborative, curious and guest-focused culture. Reporting to the Reservations Manager, in our Cape Town offices, you will contribute to the continued growth and evolution of Belmond Journeys in Africa while remaining closely connected to what matters most: creating exceptional travel experiences for our guests.\nPrimary Responsibilities Include:\nCurate tailored journeys across Southern Africa that are thoughtful, seamless and personal to each guest.\nBuild and maintain deep knowledge of our destinations, properties, experiences and partners.\nWork closely with internal teams and trusted partners to deliver the experience promised to every guest.\nCollaborate closely with preferred partners to ensure they reflect the standards and experience expected from Belmond.\nIdentify opportunities to enhance journeys while supporting commercial objectives\nEnsure guest preferences, requirements and operational information are communicated accurately and on time.\nTake ownership of issues as they arise and work collaboratively to achieve effective resolutions.\nProvide day-to-day guidance and support, helping the team prioritise effectively and deliver consistently high standards.\nManage quotations, reservations and travel arrangements accurately and efficiently.\nSupport conversion of enquiries through timely follow-up and strong relationship management.\nMaintain an understanding of rates, availability and commercial considerations to support sound decision-making.\nRequirements\nWhat You Bring:\nSignificant experience in luxury travel, destination management, hospitality, safari operations or a related guest-focused environment.\nProven experience designing and managing complex, tailor-made itineraries for discerning travellers.\nStrong knowledge of Southern Africa's destinations, lodges, experiences, logistics and travel networks.\nA genuine passion for travel and creating meaningful experiences.\nExceptional communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong administrative and reservation management capabilities\nBenefits\nWhat We Offer:\nAt Journeys in Africa, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture built on kindness, active listening, and genuine connections with our colleagues and guests.
